Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 22 - 2, fighting out of New York, Rickson Silva! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow on the wrong end of a nice hook. Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rickson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva thows a body shot but no joy. Snow dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Silva scores with a hook. Snow moves out of range as Silva throws a body kick.
A jab lands there for Silva. Silva misses with an uppercut. Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Snow takes one on the button. Silva misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva throws a hook but Snow avoids it easily. Silva catches Snow with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Silva bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Silva misses with a hook. Snow ducked under it nicely. Silva misses with a looping left. Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Snow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Snow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snow is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Snow is looking for a sweep. Silva tries for a kimura but Snow is defending well. Snow is not in a great position here, taking some shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva scoring with punches from side control. Snow defending against the ground and pound. Snow is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back! Snow is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Silva tries to break free.

Snow throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. The referee is taking a good look at Silva as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Snow!
This has been an exciting period of action! Silva tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Snow throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Silva because Snow loaded up on that one. Snow goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Snow's guard.
Snow seems keen to control Silva's posture.

Snow is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Snow is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Snow looking for a sweep. Not yet Snow, not yet. Silva with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Snow looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Silva puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Snow tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg. Snow is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snow avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jon Snow will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target. Snow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva. Snow takes one to the chin there. Silva misses with a looping right. Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Snow sees it coming and avoids it easily. Silva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Snow.
Silva might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Snow slips under a jab. Silva lands a body shot.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Snow moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snow keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Silva. Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Snow on the side of the head. Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Snow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab. Snow ducks under a wild hook from Silva. Silva shoots in but no luck this time. Silva misses with a straight left. Snow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snow wants it to stay on the feet. Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Silva. A big left from Silva misses.

and Snow counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Snow tries to score with some ground and pound. Silva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Snow tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ground and pound from Snow seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Silva gets back to half guard. Snow looking for a submission but Silva manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Silva actively working from the bottom here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Snow slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat. Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Snow moves away from the strike by Silva. Silva misses with a wild body shot. Silva misses the jab. A slow jab from Silva misses its intended target. A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target. Snow slips a jab from Silva. Silva misses with a looping left. Snow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva. Jon Snow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Snow staying out of range there. Silva cracks Snow with a right hand to the side of the head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Snow. Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Silva. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Snow is just out of range. A head kick misses from Silva. Snow keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Snow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Silva throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow stuffs the takedown. Snow stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Rickson Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Silva goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Silva throws a jab but it's blocked by Snow. Jon Snow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Silva throws a big shot that misses. Silva waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Snow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva misses with a kick to the body.

Beniot comes into the arena with Our Lady in Peace-Whatever blaring out of the sound system. Nolam has chosen Mo Money mo Problems as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With the fighters up against the cage, Nolam throws an elbow but misses. Nolam swings wildly with an uppercut but Beniot uses good head movement to avoid it. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nolam just misses with a elbow thrown towards Beniot's brow. Nolam swings away with an uppercut that misses.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beniot throws a strike but Nolam rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

No, Nolam has managed to get both his arms back between Beniot's legs - danger averted. Beniot controls Nolam momentarily but Nolam frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Beniot keeping moving, preventing Nolam from controlling successfully. Nolam lands a couple of elbows. Nolam lands a couple of digs. Beniot looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nolam postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nolam lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Nolam landing some decent shots from guard. Beniot has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Nolam is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Nolam is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Beniot.

Young moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Young fails with a takedown attempt. Bob throws a head kick that misses. Bob takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Young jabs Bob to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bob leaves Young with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. WIlliam Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Young. Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Young circles away quickly and effectively.

Keith Young seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bob scores with a jab. Young cracks Bob with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Young shoots for a takedown but Bob saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bob avoids the body shot from Young.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yadav ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Marabou takes a swing at Yadav's ribcage but misses. Yadav shoots in but no luck this time. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fight stays on the outside here - Marabou looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marabou scores with a shot to the body.
Marabou will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yadav tries for a takedown but Marabou sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Marabou closes the distance and clinches. Marabou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yadav takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Yadav tries to pass the half guard into mount. Marabou knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Marabou has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Oh Yadav is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Marabou cracks Yadav with a left hook right on the temple and Yadav goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Marabou lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Yadav is OK!

11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patrick Jayne! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colrane throws the kick towards the body but Jayne avoids it. Jayne lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Colrane at a distance.

Colrane has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jayne after a bit of a struggle. Colrane lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
