The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nichols lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Nichols gets in close and instigates a clinch. Severino wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Nichols softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Nice body punch from Nichols. Nichols effectively controlling the action here. Still in the clinch, Nichols scores with a nice short uppercut. Nichols lands with a short shot to the head.
Severino is rocked! A quick uppercut on the inside from Nichols. Oh Severino is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nichols lands a body shot in the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Nichols.
This has been an exciting period of action! Severino is looking to break free of the clinch but Nichols has double underhooks. Nichols creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Severino with a big uppercut! Severino tries to clinch up but Nichols pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Severino to the mat! Severino covers up and Nichols unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The fighters circle momentarily. Levy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Levy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in King's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Levy throws a big elbow that misses. Levy content to stall in guard here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Levy distracts King with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Levy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. King has his foot on Levy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Levy works his way back into a safe position though. Levy stands up over King, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Levy landing some decent shots from guard. Levy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Levy working some strikes from top position. Levy scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Levy postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Levy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Levy postures up and lands a big shot to King's brow. Levy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of King's head.
King is rocked! Levy lands a couple of decent looking shots. King is still in real trouble! Can Levy finish him? Levy trying to control but King is working from the bottom. Levy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Levy passes easily into side control. Nice work. King looks winded! Levy lands a strong strike to the head of King. That's dazed him! Levy looking to finish here. King is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Levy lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Boyd tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Boyd throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Boyd misses with a two punch combination.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Boyd shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boyd showed some decent athleticism there. Boyd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Prodigy keeps working. Prodigy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Boyd pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prodigy has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Boyd. Oh but Prodigy has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Boyd goes limp - he's gone! Prodigy jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aliyev misses with a few strikes there.
Couture shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aliyev napping and manages to drive through into side control! Couture swings around for an armbar but Aliyev sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Couture's guard. Aliyev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aliyev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aliyev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Aliyev tries to stand but Couture is controlling from the bottom. Couture is looking for a triangle but Aliyev pushes his legs off easily.
Aliyev wanted to stand there but Couture had control of the position. Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aliyev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aliyev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Couture is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Couture has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aliyev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Couture. Couture tries to get back to half guard but can't. Aliyev tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Couture can do anything to dispel that myth. Couture is looking for a sweep. Aliyev tries to stand but Couture is controlling his head. Couture is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Couture sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Couture looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aliyev wants to stand up but Couture has a hold of him and won't allow it. Couture actively working from the bottom here. Couture actively working from the bottom here. Aliyev prevents Couture from improving his position. Aliyev seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Couture fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Amran Aliyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Couture. Couture shoots in for a takedown but Aliyev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Couture. Randy Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Couture will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Couture looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Aliyev throws a leg kick but Couture moved away. Couture shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Couture is breathing heavily. Couture moves away from the strike by Aliyev. Aliyev pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Couture dives in and grabs Aliyev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aliyev pushes down on Couture's head and hops out. Amran Aliyev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Couture takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Couture misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Aliyev tries a low kick but Couture avoids it. Couture throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aliyev's waist but Aliyev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Couture off to one side. Aliyev throws a nice inside leg kick. Couture looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Aliyev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Couture. Aliyev throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Couture fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aliyev avoids it really well and circles away. Aliyev lands with a good body shot. Aliyev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Couture uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aliyev.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aliyev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Couture. Couture shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aliyev but Aliyev pushes him off and we're back to square one. Aliyev tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Aliyev lands with a good body shot. Couture fails with the takedown and Couture takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Aliyev moves into the clinch. Couture jumps guard but Aliyev stands there with Couture around his waist. Couture gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Couture is trying to drag Aliyev to the mat but Aliyev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Couture tries for a takedown. No joy.

Aliyev swings wildly with an uppercut but Couture uses good head movement to avoid it. Couture is working for takedown but Aliyev is calmly controlling the position for now. Aliyev tries to circle away but Couture has him pinned against the cage. Couture tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aliyev just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Couture has Aliyev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aliyev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Aliyev is looking to break free of the clinch but Couture has double underhooks. Aliyev prevents the takedown attempt.

Couture is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Aliyev is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Aliyev has escaped and now he's on top! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aliyev has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Couture is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aliyev has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Couture works to full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Couture is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Couture looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Couture has a closed guard, preventing Aliyev from standing up. Couture had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aliyev defends it easily. Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aliyev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aliyev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Aliyev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Couture looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Vandago doesn't succeed with the takedown and Costello counters with a stiff right hand. Vandago with a lazy takedown attempt and Costello holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gerry Costello has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Vandago. Vandago looks winded! Vandago jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Costello walks away with a smile on his face. Vandago gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vandago wants to clinch and Costello counters with a left and a right that stings Vandago. Costello connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Costello closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! You can see the frustration on Vandago's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Costello decides to stand back up. Costello steps back and let's Vandago get back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vandago with a poor takedown and Costello counters with a good, hard body kick but Vandago shrugs it off. Vandago with a lazy takedown attempt and Costello makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Vandago really felt that one! Costello closes the distance and pushes Vandago back into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Legend sends Gracie crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Legend is motioning to the referee to let Gracie up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Renzo Gracie has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Legend throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Legend misses with an uppercut. Legend throws out a loose jab but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it. Gracie is aggressively charging in as Legend backs up avoiding any damage. Legend tosses out a jab and Gracie runs right into it face first! Gracie is out cold! Legend dropped down on all fours and is barking in Gracie's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Foster trying to control the action but Orton is working from the bottom. Orton is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Foster is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Orton tries to reverse the position but Foster maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Foster controlling the position easily from mount. Foster trying to control but he's not successful this time. Foster wants to take his opponent's back but instead Orton manages to regain half guard. Foster is trying to control the action in half guard but Orton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Foster prevents Orton from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Foster works his foot free and advances to mount.
