and Lannister counters with a one-two to the body. Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith throws a right and a left that Lannister avoids nicely. Smith misses with a double jab.
Lannister takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Smith throws a right hand that Lannister ducks under and follows up with a left that Lannister also avoids with ease. Smith throws a nice looking combination but Lannister bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smith falls off balance throwing a combination

Lannister lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Lannister to counter with a crisp jab. Chris Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Smith misses the jab. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Smith. Well Lannister has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Pontov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Pontov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Polo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Polo's back!
Pontov is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Polo won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Pontov off his unconscious opponent!

A very excited looking Boris Pontov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. Nice work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ever in particular looking to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.

White shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ever but Ever pushes him off and we're back to square one.

He's shot a load of snot all down White's shoulder. That is not cool. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ever seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down White for as long as he can get away with.
