Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yo Blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarques Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demarques Johnson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yo Blow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demarques Johnson! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson fails in his attempt to clinch. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A nice inside leg kick there by Johnson. That's going to slow Blow down. Blow throws a head kick that misses and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Blow defending well though. Blow won't allow Johnson to pass to mount. Johnson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blow's head. Johnson trying to control the action but Blow is working from the bottom. Blow is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Johnson scores with a couple of nice shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blow kicks Johnson off and gets back to his feet. Johnson wants to clinch up but Blow keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blow has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson lands an elbow inside. Blow is trying to break free. Blow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Blow is breathing heavily. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blow as he avoids it easily. Blow tries a head kick but it misses.

Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Johnson avoiding damage as Blow throws knees to the body.
Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Nice straight punches there by Johnson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnson. Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blow is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Blow circles away and we're back to standing. Yo Blow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demarques Johnson. Blow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Johnson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson stands up and beckons Blow to his feet.

Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Blow trying to land knees to the body.
Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Blow sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nice uppercut lands for Johnson. That snapped Blow's head back.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Blow pushes him off. Blow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Blow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Johnson closes the distance and clinches.

Nice takedown defense from Blow. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Blow doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Blow. Yo Blow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Blow has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.
Johnson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Blow's efforts to push away. Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson takes the fight into the clinch. Johnson misses with a knee strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Blow misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Johnson.
Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Blow misses with a head kick.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Blow. Blow stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson clinches up with Blow and pushes him back against the cage. Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johnson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Blow is rocked!
It looks like Yo Blow has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson cracks Blow with a left hook right on the temple and Blow goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Johnson lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Blow is OK!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Seamon's half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dayley tries to pass to full mount but Seamon defends it. Seamon lands with a few short shots to the body. Dayley trying to pass the guard but Seamon defending well. Seamon missing with punches from the bottom.
Dayley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Seamon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dayley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Seamon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dayley not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seamon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Seamon missing with punches from the bottom.
Seamon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dayley pulls his head out easily. Dayley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Seamon keeps working. Seamon tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Dayley not landing any meaningful shots this time. Dayley trying to pass the guard but Seamon defending well. Seamon is trying to stand up here but Dayley is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dayley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Seamon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dayley is looking to take a break and control but Seamon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Seamon flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dayley wants to stand up but Seamon has a hold of him and won't allow it. Seamon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dayley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dayley's back!

This has been an exciting period of action! I really don't envy Dayley right now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott clinches up against the cage. Scott is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bledsoe is defending well. Scott manages to pull guard.

Bledsoe controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bledsoe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bledsoe stays in close to Scott's body and controls the position. Scott rushes Bledsoe and presses him up against the cage. Bledsoe tries to break the clinch but Scott is controlling the position. Scott jumps guard but Bledsoe stands there with Scott around his waist. Scott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bledsoe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Scott wants to control from the top but Bledsoe keeps moving. Scott landing some decent shots from guard. Bledsoe pulls Scott in close to his closed guard and prevents Scott from doing any damage or advancing position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Scott stopping the sweep attempt from Bledsoe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott wants to control from the top but Bledsoe keeps moving. Scott is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Scott has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bledsoe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Scott throws strikes from the back but Bledsoe rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Bledsoe. Scott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bledsoe working for a triangle but Scott defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Jason Scott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Scott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Latote throws a series of punches but Wilkins avoids them all with ease. Latote throws a right hand that Wilkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilkins also avoids with ease. Latote ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wilkins moves away. Wilkins misses with a hook. Latote ducked under it nicely. Wilkins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Latote throws a big shot that misses. Latote lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Latote tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch combination from Latote misses. Wilkins scores with a jab. Latote gets caught flat footed, as Wilkins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Latote wants to stand but Wilkins is controlling the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilkins cracks Latote with a solid left hand. Wilkins content to stall in guard here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wilkins's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Latote can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilkins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Wilkins working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wilkins takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wilkins connects with a nice short shot to Latote's temple. Wilkins moves nicely into side control. Wilkins works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Wilkins is putting a hurting on Latote here, landing some big shots from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wilkins working the ground and pound. Wilkins cracks Latote with an elbow. That is naaassty. Latote looks winded! Wilkins working the ground and pound from side control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferzeta throws a low kick, looking for LeBron's leg but LeBron calmly moves out of range. Ferzeta tries to close the distance and clinch up but LeBron swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ferzeta throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ferzeta takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ferzeta shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. The fighters circling - LeBron throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ferzeta connects with a body shot that sends LeBron's belly button to the back. LeBron darts in and clinches Ferzeta up against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, LeBron creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. LeBron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ferzeta will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That will dishearten Ferzeta somewhat. LeBron catches Ferzeta with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ferzeta lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and LeBron has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from LeBron and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. LeBron fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felipe LeBron dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ferzeta throws a leg kick and LeBron finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Ferzeta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. LeBron forces Ferzeta back against the cage and clinches. Ferzeta is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. LeBron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hammerfist, elbow! yells LeBron's corner. There ya go! There ya go! LeBron avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
LeBron got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferzeta has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, LeBron has managed to get both his arms back between Ferzeta's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LeBron postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ferzeta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LeBron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. LeBron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ferzeta works some decent striking defense from the bottom. LeBron missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. LeBron sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ferzeta looking for a guillotine here but LeBron defends easily.
Rico Ferzeta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are breathing heavily. LeBron postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. LeBron looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferzeta preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. LeBron trying to control but Ferzeta is working from the bottom. Ferzeta is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and LeBron defends well. LeBron cracks Ferzeta with a solid left hand. LeBron is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ferzeta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LeBron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. LeBron trying to control but Ferzeta is working from the bottom. Ferzeta keeping full guard, as LeBron tries to pass.
And that's the end of the fight! Felipe LeBron comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well LeBron has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
