The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ratonhnhake closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jones tries to throw a body punch but Ratonhnhake avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage.
Ratonhnhake tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Jones tries to stall but Ratonhnhake uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land.
Jones swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Ratonhnhake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ratonhnhake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ratonhnhake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jones looking to control but Ratonhnhake passes into half guard.
Ratonhnhake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jones sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Arvloski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Huerta circles away quickly and effectively.
Mikhail Arvloski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A looping hook to the body misses from Arvloski. Huerta does a little dance to reset his feet.

Davidov shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davidov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Davidov wants to clinch

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davidov's waist but Davidov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
