9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Morgernstern! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Glover Almeida! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Almeida wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Morgernstern moves out of range of the strikes. Glover Almeida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Almeida checks the leg kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Almeida, as that shot connected.
Almeida takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Morgernstern slips a jab from Almeida. Almeida is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Morgernstern. Almeida misses with an uppercut. Morgernstern saw that one coming. Almeida works Morgernstern's body with a nice hook. Morgernstern is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Almeida's half guard. Morgernstern is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Almeida has managed to free his arm - good work. Morgernstern is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Almeida's head. Morgernstern trying to control the action but Almeida is working from the bottom. and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Hall feints a jab promting Hussain to slip. Hall then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hussain slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hall tries to clinch but Hussain is having none of it. Hussain misses with a low kick as Hall jumps back. Hussain looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Hussain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A punch lands to the side of Hussain 's head but he takes it in his stride. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hussain lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hall has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hall and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Michael Hall is winning the standup battle so far. Hall blocks the body kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hainer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hainer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Love if he has to take too many more of those.
Hainer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Love gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hainer counters with a big head kick but Love shrugs it off. Love on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Good exchange - Hainer coming out on top. Love avoids the body shot from Hainer.
A big right from Hainer misses. Hainer is looking to score with low kicks. Hainer lands a nice shot to the body.
Hainer misses the jab. Zach Hainer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hainer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Loves jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Hainer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Love's calf. Hainer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hainer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hainer lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hainer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Hainer scores with the left hand. Love knows he should have avoided that one. Hainer connects with an inside leg kick. Hainer misses with a wild body shot. Love moves out of range of the body kick from Hainer.
Hainer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Hainer throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Hainer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hainer cracks Love with an open hand slap.

19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Kint! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kint uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chronic has time to react. Kint swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chronic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kint has Chronic pulled in close to control his posture. Chronic throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Chronic has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Chronic trying to control but Kint is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chronic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chronic is looking to work some ground and pound but Kint has wrist control. Kint seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kint manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kint is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Chronic has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chronic tries to hold on but Kint pushes him away. Chronic can't escape the position.

Chronic manages to regain half guard. Good work. Kint tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chronic knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Chronic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kint wants to work for an arm triangle but Chronic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chronic is refusing to be controlled, as Kint sits in half guard. Kint moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Chronic . Kint tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Chronic is trying to improve his position. Chronic is not content to let Kint control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chronic tries to bench press Kint off him but Kint keeps the position. Kint moves into full mount! Chronic stops Kint from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Chronic is trying to escape the mount.
Kint wants to take Chronic 's back here but Chronic is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Chronic is desperately trying to improve his position but Kint has a good base and remains in mount. Kint is trying to take his opponent's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kint prevents Chronic from getting the reversal. Chronic is working hard here to advance position. Kint trying to control but Chronic is having none of it. Chronic has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chronic fending off the submission attempt from Kint. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chronic is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kint gets his way!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chronic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fight stays on the outside here - Chronic looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chronic is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kint lands a glancing blow to the side of Chronic 's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kint paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Chronic misses with a body shot.
Kint walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Chronic lands with a cross. Kint closes the distance and clinches. Chronic blocks a punch to the side of the head.

This has been an exciting period of action! Chronic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chronic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kint manages to avoid it. Chronic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kint counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kint fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chronic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Chronic doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kint counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jab by Kint. Kint tests Chronic 's chin there with a solid looking shot. Chronic throws a looping overhand right but Kint ducks down to avoid it. Kint avoids the head kick by Chronic .
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kint fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chronic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kint lands a slapping body shot.

Chronic dives in and grabs Kint's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kint pushes down on Chronic 's head and hops out. Good standup being displayed there by Kint as he connects with a hook. Chronic misses with a right hand and Kint counters with a left to the body. Chronic misses with a jab, cross combination.

Xianfa throws a sloppy head kick and Nguyen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Xianfa throws a leg kick but Nguyen sees it coming and checks it nicely. Maia shoots in looking for a takedown. Blaylock tries to sprawl out of it but Maia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blaylock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Blaylock throws a series of punches but Maia avoids them all with ease. Maia throws the left hand but Blaylock avoids the punch easily. Nice uppercut there from Maia. Maia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blaylock moves away. Maia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blaylock.
Sloppy strikes from Blaylock. Those never looked like landing. Blaylock tries to clinch up but Maia circles away and keeps his distance. Maia looking to score a takedown here. Blaylock is defending well but Maia drives through and ends up in Blaylock's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Blaylock keeping moving, preventing Maia from controlling successfully. Maia looking to sit in guard and control but Blaylock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blaylock loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reinhardt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Satan. Satan missing with a left hand there. Reinhardt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Satan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Victor Reinhardt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Satan throws an overhand right that lands on Reinhardt's shoulder, as Reinhardt tries to avoid the shot. Satan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Reinhardt fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Reinhardt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Reinhardt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Satan wants to control from the top but Reinhardt keeps moving. Satan looking to pass the guard. Reinhardt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Satan is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Satan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reinhardt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Satan with a nice head shot there. Satan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reinhardt throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Satan escapes and throws Reinhardt's legs to the side, diving into side control! Reinhardt is trying to improve his position. Reinhardt wants to control but Satan postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reinhardt is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Satan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Reinhardt looks up at the clock and then as Satan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Reinhardt smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
