Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Cole!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Khan Jennings!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole tries to clinch but Jennings is having none of it.
Cole is looking to clinch.
Jennings looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jennings tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cole swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jennings feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jennings gets to his feet - Cole follows without any prompting.

Jennings has Cole pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jennings pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Cole tumbling to the mat - Jennings dives into Cole's guard.
Jennings wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.

It looks like Khan Jennings has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cole stuffs the takedown attempt from Jennings. Jennings gets slowly back to his feet.

Cole clinches.

Cole jumps guard and drags Jennings to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Adam Cole wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Cole shoots in looking for a takedown but Jennings manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cole's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam Cole will probably get the nod.

Cole stands and throws Jennings's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cole wants to control but Jennings is keeping him busy.
Jennings manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cole's best efforts.
Cole prevents Jennings from improving his position.
Jennings won't allow Cole to pass to mount.

Cole decides to return to a standing position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jennings fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jennings is looking to clinch.
Jennings tries to clinch there but Cole circles away.
Jennings shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Adam Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khan Jennings.

Cole has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jennings can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jennings is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jennings working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jennings wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Khan Jennings hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jennings misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cole tries to clinch up but Jennings circles away and keeps his distance.
Cole fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cole swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jennings counters with a nice body kick.
Jennings shoots in for a double leg but Cole sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jennings throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Cole will probably get the nod.

Witten has instead reached around Wilson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Witten arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
