The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ewing tries to sprawl but Carter drives through with a takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ewing is doing well to control the position and prevent Carter from advancing to side control. Ewing is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carter's back! A bit of a pause in the action here. Ewing controlling the positon. You can see the frustration on Carter's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Carter is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ewing biding his time, looking for the opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter covers up after that shot from Ewing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ewing working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Carter is doing well to defend. Ewing seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Carter is forced to tap and this one is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dexter tries a head kick but it misses.
Dexter lands with a kick to the temple. Todd shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Todd changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dexter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Todd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dexter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Todd tries for a kimura but Dexter is defending well. Todd tries for a kimura but Dexter is defending well. Todd swings around for an armbar but Dexter sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Todd's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Todd keeping moving, preventing Dexter from controlling successfully. Todd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dexter on the ground. Dexter slips nicely into half guard. Dexter trying to control the action but Todd is working from the bottom. Dexter uses his free foot to push down on Todd's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Todd. Dexter looking to control but Todd is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dexter moves to the back. Dexter is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Todd won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Dexter off his unconscious opponent!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards takes the fight into the clinch. Torres taking a breather. Torres pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Torres forces Edwards back against the cage and clinches. Torres drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Torres. Torres is trying to break the clinch but Edwards has him pressed against the cage. Torres escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Edwards fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Torres moves into the clinch successfully.

Edwards working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Torres's head. Edwards postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Torres is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Torres is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Edwards is not content to let Torres control the position. Konigshof gets slowly back to his feet. Apollo Creed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Konigshof. Konigshof throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Creed's waist but Creed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Konigshof off to one side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Konigshof. Creed stuffs the takedown attempt from Konigshof. Konigshof gets slowly back to his feet. Creed could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Konigshof misses with a wild body shot. Konigshof shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Creed but Creed pushes him off and we're back to square one. Creed lands with an overhand left. Konigshof swings away with a body shot that misses
and Creed counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Konigshof looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A shot to the body from Konigshof misses and Creed connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Konigshof takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Creed dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Konigshof fails to land the takedown. Creed lands a hook that stumbles Konigshof back into the cage. Creed follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Konigshof to the canvas! Creed pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Konigshof has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Daniels is rocked! Hale stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hale wants it to stay on the feet. Hale throws a hook but Daniels avoids it easily. Hale gets caught flat footed, as Daniels shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Daniels throws a big right hand that misses. Daniels has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hale rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daniels moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dennins Daniels will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Will he be able to recover?!! Daniels slips under a jab. Daniels seems to have got his legs back now. Hale ducks under a wild hook from Daniels. Hale is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Daniels. Hale misses with a jab, cross combination.
Daniels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hale was well out of range. Poor timing from Daniels. Brandon Hale is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hale takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hale staying out of range there. Daniels walks into a stiff left hand from Hale. Daniels's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hale connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Daniels scrambles back to his feet. Daniels misses with a left hand and Hale scores with a counter punch that sends Daniels to the canvas! Hale smells blood - he's punishing Daniels with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Daniels has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
