The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cloud scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fames misses with a straight right.
Cloud walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Fames frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Fames is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cloud can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Fames creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cloud sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Fames tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fames has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fames has hold of Cloud's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cloud tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Fames cranks the arm and Cloud screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cloud, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gichin Fames!
Gichin Fames was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
