The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loid clinches up with King and pushes him back against the cage.

Loid works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Loid looking to sit in guard and control but King gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

King drops back, looking for a kneebar! Loid looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Loid looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Loid!
Loid looking to punish the body of his opponent here but King is avoiding damage well.
Loid throws a strike aimed at the side of King's head but King avoids it well.
King sneaks back into half guard.

King has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Loid throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as King works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
King lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Loid!

King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Loid's waist but Loid gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
