The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torosian misses with a few strikes there.

Torosian will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Macarenco takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Macarenco throws a looping overhand right but Torosian ducks down to avoid it. Macarenco misses with an uppercut
and Torosian counters with a left to the body. Torosian rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Macarenco moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Torosian is stalking Macarenco. Macarenco circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Torosian, and it's lights out! Macarenco really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ericsson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karamyenyan circles away. Ericsson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Karamyenyan sprawls well initially but Ericsson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Karamyenyan moves into full guard.
Karamyenyan is looking for a triangle but Ericsson pushes his legs off easily.
Ericsson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ericsson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ericsson trying to control but Karamyenyan is working from the bottom. Karamyenyan keeping full guard, as Ericsson tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karamyenyan is trying to keep Ericsson in close.

Karamyenyan pulls Ericsson in close to his closed guard and prevents Ericsson from doing any damage or advancing position. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ericsson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Karamyenyan was covering up waiting for the punch and Ericsson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ericsson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ericsson lands a couple of elbows. Ericsson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karamyenyan is trying to control the position but Ericsson postures up. Ericsson works over Karamyenyan with some ground and pound from guard. Karamyenyan wants to get back to his feet but Ericsson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ericsson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Karamyenyan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ericsson controls the pace. Ericsson throws a sloppy strike and Karamyenyan has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Ericsson is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Karamyenyan!

Thorn can't keep hold of the triangle and Leopoldo manages to pass to side control! Thorn is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Leopoldo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Leopoldo seems to be working for a kimura but Thorn defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thorn wants to control but Leopoldo is keeping busy and won't allow it. Leopoldo works his foot free and advances to mount. Thorn trying desperately to get to his feet.

He's got his arms around Quilla's waist but Quilla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Melendez off to one side. Nice takedown defense from Quilla. No joy for Melendez on that attempt. Mante Quilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Melendez shoots for a double leg takedown but Quilla sprawls well. He's pushed Melendez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mante Quilla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Locke is controlling him. Williams wants to sweep here but Locke controlling him for the moment. Williams has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.
