Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominick Cirillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bram Nijhoff! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nijhoff misses with a body kick. Cirillo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nijhoff. Cirillo shoots in for a takedown but Nijhoff shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nijhoff feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cirillo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nijhoff controls from within his opponent's guard. Cirillo wants to sweep but no luck. Cirillo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nijhoff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nijhoff passes Cirillo's left leg - he's now in half guard. Nijhoff performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Cirillo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nijhoff postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cirillo to stand up. Cirillo closes the distance but Nijhoff moves to the side and Nijhoff holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nijhoff is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cirillo can't fight it off and eventually Nijhoff manages to take the fight to the floor. Cirillo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cirillo wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Nijhoff is now in half guard. Nijhoff is looking for a kimura but Cirillo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nijhoff to get the leverage. Nijhoff seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Nijhoff takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nijhoff trying to control the pace. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nijhoff is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cirillo sees it coming and defends easily. Nijhoff is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nijhoff decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Nijhoff feints and as Cirillo raises his hands in defense, Nijhoff changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nijhoff landing some decent shots from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nijhoff is working Cirillo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Nijhoff is stalling in the full guard. Cirillo looking for a sweep. Not yet Cirillo, not yet. Nijhoff is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Nijhoff forces his way into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nijhoff decides to stand up. Nijhoff gets a takedown into half guard. Nijhoff stands up and beckons Cirillo to join him on the feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cirillo throws a sloppy head kick and Nijhoff moves out of range easily. Nijhoff drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cirillo tries to improve position but can't. Nijhoff controls the position from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bram Nijhoff dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nijhoff throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Cirillo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Cirillo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nijhoff circles away. Cirillo tries to bum rush Nijhoff with a series of wild strikes but Nijhoff uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cirillo darts in looking for a takedown but Nijhoff gets double underhooks and turns Cirillo into the cage. Nijhoff gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cirillo regains guard.
Nijhoff is in close to Cirillo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Nijhoff postures up.
Nijhoff controlling from the top position. Nijhoff's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cirillo is looking for a triangle but Nijhoff pushes his legs off easily.
Nijhoff drops back looking for a leg! Cirillo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cirillo manages to kick Nijhoff off! Nijhoff jumps back into Cirillo's guard. Nijhoff controls from within his opponent's guard. Nijhoff connects with a couple of short punches. Nijhoff engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Nijhoff decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cirillo, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nijhoff circles away from the clinch attempt and Nijhoff counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nijhoff in particular looking to stall. Cirillo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nijhoff on the ground. Nijhoff wants to work for an arm triangle but Cirillo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cirillo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nijhoff works his way into full mount! Nijhoff lands a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nijhoff lands a big elbow. Nijhoff working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Nijhoff postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Cirillo bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Nijhoff and the fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sailor throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sailor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Sailor clinches up with Weidman and pushes him back against the cage. Weidman pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Sailor is working Weidman over against the cage. Weidman tries to break free but Sailor pushes him back against the cage. Good body shot from Sailor.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sailor lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Weidman looks winded! Sailor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sloppy strikes from Sailor. Those never looked like landing. Sailor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sailor has closed the distance and engaged Weidman in a clinch.
Sailor works on Weidman's body with a couple of short punches. Sailor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sailor moves into the clinch. Weidman using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sailor has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Sailor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Weidman tries to bum rush Sailor with a series of wild strikes but Sailor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sailor has closed the distance and engaged Weidman in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sailor lands a left hand.
Sailor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sailor grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Weidman takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Sailor cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Piekarczyk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Piekarczyk blocks a head kick by Li.

We've been informed that Dougerson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Dougerson struggles to land a body shot inside as Lamare controls his hands.
Lamare prevents Dougerson from breaking the clinch. Lamare lands a damaging elbow. Dougerson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Dougerson is trying to break the clinch but Lamare has him pressed against the cage. Lamare keeps control of Dougerson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dougerson takes an elbow to the forehead. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lamare lands an elbow inside. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee throws a head kick that Barbee semi-blocks.
It looks like Conley Barbee has been cut. Barbee avoids the head kick by Lee.
Barbee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lee can pounce on him.
Barbee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barbee off to one side. Lee goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Lee. Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barbee misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming. Lee throws a jab when Barbee was well out of range. Barbee looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Barbee crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lee - the referee stops the clock and Barbee gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lee. Barbee manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barbee thows a body shot but no joy. Lee takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bruce Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee misses with a body kick. Lee lands a big head kick that sends Barbee tumbling to the mat! Lee takes a step backwards and waves Barbee back to his feet - he wants the finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barbee throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease. Lee throws a quick head kick that knocks Barbee silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Lee is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bruce Lee! In his post fight interview, Bruce Lee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Vlachodimos ducks right into an uppercut from Wyll. Vlachodimos goes for a double leg but Wyll avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wyll continues to drive forward. Vlachodimos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wyll walks away with a smile on his face. Vlachodimos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Vlachodimos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wyll. Wyll dives in for a single leg takedown but Vlachodimos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Vlachodimos tries for a takedown but Wyll manages to get underhooks.
Lee Wyll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Vlachodimos. Vlachodimos is looking to take this one to the mat. Wyll jumps guard but Vlachodimos turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Vlachodimos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wyll slaps away a takedown attempt from Vlachodimos, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wyll scores with a nice strike. Wyll misses with the combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vlachodimos has a takedown stuffed.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vlachodimos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wyll closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vlachodimos circles away. Vlachodimos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vlachodimos wants it to stay on the feet. Vlachodimos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Wyll gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vlachodimos counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Wyll is lucky that one didn't land flush. Vlachodimos tries for a takedown but Wyll circles away easily and Wyll counters by moving into the clinch.

Wyll is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Vlachodimos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Vlachodimos shoots in for a double leg but Wyll sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wyll darts in trying to clinch and Vlachodimos counters by moving into the clinch.

Vlachodimos dives in and grabs Wyll's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wyll pushes down on Vlachodimos's head and hops out. Wyll throws the kick towards the body but Vlachodimos avoids it. Nice uppercut lands for Wyll. That snapped Vlachodimos's head back.
It looks like Carlos Vlachodimos has been cut. Wyll plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom!
