Musampha is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Koivula presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Koivula manages to pull guard.
Koivula controls Musampha momentarily but Musampha frees himself.
Musampha passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Musampha stands up and beckons Koivula to his feet.

Koivula lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Koivula.

Koivula changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Musampha tries to avoid it but Koivula manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Musampha to the ground. Musampha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Koivula's jab looks to have found its range, popping Musampha under the eye.

Musampha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Koivula knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Musampha on the ground.
Musampha slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Musampha closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Koivula is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Koivula is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Musampha couldn't care less - he's delighted!
