The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mekk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mekk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Mekk trying to control the pace. Knuckles is looking for a sweep. Mekk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mekk with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Knuckles missing with punches from the bottom.
Mekk seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Knuckles throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Knuckles is trying to get back to full guard. Knuckles pushes Mekk off looking to stand but Mekk dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rasputin Mekk was stalling too much, according to the referee. Knuckles stuffs the takedown attempt from Mekk. Mekk gets slowly back to his feet. Mekk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mekk stalling. Knuckles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mekk is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knuckles looking for subs from the bottom but Mekk mounts him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mekk with a couple of short strikes. Knuckles is trying to stand up. Knuckles keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Knuckles is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mekk is in the full mount, landing strikes. Knuckles tries to buck Mekk off but he can't manage it. Mekk tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mekk quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Mekk but it's paid off an Knuckles is forced to tap! Nice work by Mekk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shumanov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nauman, pushing him back against the cage. Shumanov gets underhooks to prevent Nauman's takedown attempt.
Nauman wants a takedown but no success here.
Shumanov wants to break free but Nauman has control.
Shumanov tries to circle away but Nauman has him pinned against the cage. Nauman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shumanov pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alistair Nauman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shumanov gets control of Nauman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shumanov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Nauman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shumanov is proving hard to escape from. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Shumanov has his feet on Nauman's thighs here. He's pushed Nauman off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Nauman screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stojanoski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Petrov stuffs the takedown. Petrov tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Stojanoski with a poor takedown and Petrov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Stojanoski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Petrov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stojanoski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Stojanoski is breathing heavily. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Stojanoski trying to remain calm as Petrov controls from the top position. Petrov scoring with punches and elbows. This has been an exciting period of action! Petrov decides to take the fight back to the feet. Petrov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stojanoski was covering up waiting for the punch and Petrov finishes the takedown easily into guard. Petrov gets to his feet - Stojanoski follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stojanoski gets caught flat footed, as Petrov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Petrov scoring with some ground and pound. Petrov content to stall in guard here. Stojanoski is working an open guard so Petrov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Stojanoski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Petrov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Petrov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stojanoski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stojanoski's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stojanoski wants to get back to his feet but Petrov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Petrov landing some decent shots from guard. Petrov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Petrov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Petrov working some strikes from top position. Petrov lands a couple of elbows.
Stojanoski is rocked! Petrov landing some decent shots from guard. Oh Stojanoski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Petrov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Stojanoski covers up, he's hurt! Petrov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Petrov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Petrov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Haze throws a series of punches but Von Hove avoids them all with ease.

Haze is rocked! Von Hove lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Haze circles away quickly and effectively. Oh Haze is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Haze connects with a good right hand that stumbles Von Hove. Von Hove circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Von Hove closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Haze! Von Hove dives in looking to finish! Haze is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The Iron avoids a kick to the body.

It's a sloppy attempt though and The Iron jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wolter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wolter looking to control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Datsik throws a nice looking combination but Klincko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Datsik throws a right hand that misses
and Klincko counters with a nice low kick that buckles Datsik's knee momentarily. Datsik takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Syd Datsik has been cut. Datsik takes a swing at Klincko's ribcage but misses. Datsik with a nice cross. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A nice combination there by Datsik.
Datsik dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Klincko looks for the body kick but Datsik saw that one coming. Datsik fails to land with a series of punches.
Klincko drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Klincko scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Datsik to see if he's OK.
