Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guil Henrique (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ivan Jack has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ivan Jack seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

That was a close second round but I would say that Ivan Jack will probably get the nod.

Henrique has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jack is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Henrique yanks on the arm and Jack is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Henrique.

Willy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hitari to the ground. Willy is now in Hitari's guard.

Willy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Willy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hitari's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Willy passes to side control.
Willy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hitari's shoulder. That is not cool.
Willy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Willy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here as Willy stalls from top position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Willy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hitari's shoulder. That is not cool.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hitari has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Hitari dodges the punch combination from Willy.
Hitari throws an overhand right that lands on Willy's shoulder, as Willy tries to avoid the shot.
Yoshi Hitari seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Willy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hitari to the mat! Hitari manages to get full guard.

Willy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hitari's guard.

Willy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hitari for as long as he can get away with.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hitari has hold of Willy's hands but Willy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Willy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Big Willy.

Willy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Willy showed some decent athleticism there.
Hitari takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Willy looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hitari wants to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Well, if Willy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Big Willy just wasn't active enough.
Willy throws a series of punches but Hitari avoids them all with ease.

Hitari gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Willy to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Willy is pushing down on Hitari's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hitari is fighting to maintain full guard but Willy has managed to sneak the leg through.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Big Willy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Willy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
