The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Warfist.
Warfist misses with a lunging right hand
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Dragon Warfist has been cut.
Warfist throws a leg kick but Smith sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Warfist throws a head kick that misses.
Dragon Warfist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith lands with a hook. Warfist tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Warfist throws a front kick that sends Smith stumbling back into the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith walks into a jab.
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Smith throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Warfist misses with a kick to the body
and Smith counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Warfist tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smith is able to avoid easily.
Smith takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Warfist gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Smith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Warfist's head.
Warfist misses with a looping left.
Smith bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith throws a leg kick but Warfist sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Warfist avoids a punch combination nicely.
Warfist fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Warfist shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Warfist avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Warfist lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Warfist takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Warfist displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
Warfist drops Smith with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smith! Warfist dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
