Apple tries to close the distance and clinch up but Samson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Samson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Apple's head backwards. Apple moves in looking to clinch but Samson pushes him off. Apple avoids a punch combination nicely.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Apple has eaten all the pies! Apple tries to close the distance and clinch up but Samson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Apple darts in and clinches Samson up against the cage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Apple. Apple misses with a punch to the body.

Samson scores with a jab to the body. Samson throws a right and a left that both miss. Apple avoids the body shot from Samson.
Samson lands a nice hook to Apple's body. Apple takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Apple doesn't manage to clinch there - Samson circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Samson is trying to break the clinch but Apple has him pressed against the cage.

Samson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Apple's head. Samson is looking to wear down Apple with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Samson misses with a series of wild punches.
Samson stuffs the takedown attempt from Apple. Apple gets slowly back to his feet. Apple walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A punch combination from Samson misses. A combination from Samson does no damage. Samson lands a nice looking body shot.
Samson scores with a decent looking hook. Apple is looking to clinch but Samson is avoiding it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Apple fails in his attempt to clinch. No joy there for Samson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Samson tries to keep at a distance but Apple has taken the fight into the clinch. Nice body punch from Apple - that landed with a thud.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Samson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Samson moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Apple! Samson continues to tee off on Apple, landing with a left and a right! Samson connects with a right hand that leaves Apple sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Samson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brian Samson! A relieved looking Brian Samson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Strong has Monteforte pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Strong pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Monteforte tumbling to the mat - Strong dives into Monteforte's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Strong sitting in guard, not really doing much. Monteforte working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Strong. Strong wants to stand and escape but instead Monteforte has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Strong keeping moving, preventing Monteforte from controlling successfully.

Monteforte is trying to control the action in half guard but Strong is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monteforte will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Monteforte drops Strong with a beautiful combination! Strong stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Monteforte is looking for the KO!

The referee steps in and saves Strong!! Strong is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Monteforte throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Poor timing from Mirko. Mirko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mora is out of range. Mirko throws a nice looking combination but Mora bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mora fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mora throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mirko's waist but Mirko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mora off to one side. Nice uppercut lands for Mirko. That snapped Mora's head back.
Mirko lands a jab to the nose. Mirko tests Mora's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mora takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Frank Mirko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Mirko. Those never looked like landing. Mirko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mirko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mora has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mora there as he acknowledges the shot. Mirko scores with a jab to the head.
Mirko is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A looping hook to the body misses from Mirko. Mora does a little dance to reset his feet. Frank Mirko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mirko just misses with a punch to the body.
Mora takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mora fails to land the takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters circle momentarily. Mirko darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Mirko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Mirko throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

A nice combination there by Mirko.
Mora throws a wild hook but Mirko just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Mora gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Mirko raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ismore rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ismore jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well.

Whitaker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Whitaker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Griffin's half guard. Whitaker is nestled in close to Griffin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Whitaker tries to pass the half guard into mount. Griffin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Griffin tries to get to full guard but Whitaker has control of the leg. Griffin is trying to maintain the position but Whitaker is very close to passing his half guard. Whitaker wants to control but Griffin is keeping him busy.

Avery digs a good body shot into Evil's ribs. A chopping leg kick lands by Avery. Evil attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Avery tries to move into range but Evil moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Avery lands a nice leg kick that just misses Evil's sensitive parts. This has been an exciting period of action!
Avery lands a big head kick that sends Evil tumbling to the mat! Avery takes a step backwards and waves Evil back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Evil connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Avery's hands. Avery blocks a leg kick. Avery lands a right hook to the body.

Evil showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Avery.

Avery scores with a jab to the body. A decent looking body kick lands there for Avery. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Avery thows a body kick. Evil tries to catch it but that hurt him. Avery misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Avery lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Avery thuds a left hand into Evil's body.

Avery drops Evil with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Evil looks back up at him and smiles so Avery waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
