The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OSullivan misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd cheers as OSullivan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Karpinski doesn't seem phased though. OSullivan gets a double leg takedown into Karpinski's guard. OSullivan wants to pass the guard but Karpinski is keeping the position. Karpinski controlling the position. OSullivan wants to stand and escape but instead Karpinski has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. OSullivan trying to control the position here. OSullivan is trying to control the position but Karpinski postures up.

We're going to have a standup here because Chris OSullivan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Karpinski takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. OSullivan misses with the combination.

Karpinski is thwarting OSullivan's attempts to control the position. Karpinski is keen to just control but OSullivan is a slippery customer. Karpinski is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. OSullivan is trying to get back to full guard. Rude misses with a double jab.
Rude throws a left that rocks Walker and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rude dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Walker regain composure!
Walker is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rude is trying to ground and pound but Walker uses the momentary lack of control by Rude to regain half guard. Oh Walker is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Rude is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now. Walker is trying to stand back up but Rude is controlling him
Walker seems to have got his legs back now. Rude throwing shots but Walker is blocking nicely. Rude thows a huge punch but Walker dodges it nicely.
Rude throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Walker to regain full guard. Rude trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rude accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rude looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there. Walker wants to stand but Rude has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Rude controls Walker momentarily but Walker frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rude gets in close and tags Walker with a short punch that almost sends Walker to the mat! Oh Walker is in big trouble! He turns his back on Rude, trying to create some distance but Rude rushes him, striking wildly and Walker goes down! The referee tackles Rude into the cage to end the fight! Rude is one violent man!

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Mccoy is looking to get back to his feet here but John is keeping cool and he's managed to take Mccoy's back. John has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. John controlling well, preventing Mccoy from escaping the position.
