Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gaius Vega has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gaius Vega seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Khan! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Khan shoots in looking for a takedown but Vega manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Khan misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Vega to counter with a crisp jab. Khan shoots in but no luck this time. Gaius Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Khan. Khan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Vega eats them both and turns towards Khan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Vega slips a jab from Khan. Khan has a takedown stuffed. Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Vega sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vega slaps away a takedown attempt from Khan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Khan looks to throw the jab but Vega is out of range. Vega checks a leg kick. Khan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vega but Vega pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vega avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vega leaves Khan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Vega stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vega wants it to stay on the feet. Vega blocks a head kick by Khan.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Khan shoots in and bounces Vega off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. It looks like Damian Khan has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Khan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vega ducks under a wild hook from Khan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Axe does it's job there. Axe lands a nice hook to Willan's body. Willan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Axe closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Axe misses with a head kick.
Axe moves out of range as Willan strikes. Willan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Axe wants to get back to his feet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shota, pushing him back against the cage. Shota presses Scott against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Shota tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Scott blocks an uppercut.
Scott has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Shota clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scott avoiding Shota 's attempts to control his hands. Shota tries to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shota throws a monster overhand right that drops Scott! Shota follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Fluff for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Fluff lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Griggs backwards. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palavra gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Burton. Palavra fails in his attempt to clinch. Palavra will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Burton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marijo Palavra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burton is looking to clinch. Burton circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Fanoogon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cat is trying to maintain the position but Fanoogon is very close to passing his half guard. Fanoogon is looking to stall here but Cat recovers full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cat wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Fanoogon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fanoogon throws a strike but Cat rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Fanoogon is trying to keep Cat in close.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cold Cat hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Horrible takedown by Fanoogon or perhaps it was just good defense by Cat which made him look bad. Fanoogon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cat throws out the jab. Cat feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fanoogon's calf. Fanoogon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cat looks to land a right hand but Fanoogon moved out of range. Fanoogon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richie Fanoogon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Richie Fanoogon's cut is getting worse. Cat uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fanoogon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fanoogon was well out of range. Poor timing from Cat. A big left from Cat misses. Cat cracks Fanoogon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fanoogon shoots in for a takedown but Cat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cat misses with a straight left. Cat dips to his left and cracks Fanoogon with an uppercut! Cat stuffs the takedown attempt from Fanoogon. Fanoogon gets slowly back to his feet. Cat pushes Fanoogon up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fanoogon is trying to drag Cat to the mat but Cat just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Cat slowing the pace effectively. Cat lands a left hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Easterlund fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Donk. Easterlund catches Moreno right on the button with a cross.
It looks like AnthonyH Moreno has been cut. Moreno fails with a takedown attempt. Easterlund displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Moreno changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Easterlund tries to avoid it but Moreno manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Easterlund to the ground. Easterlund escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Good standup being displayed there by Easterlund as he connects with a hook. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Easterlund, as that shot connected.
