Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quickski Mcgee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Skip Torres! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres shoots in and gets a takedown into Mcgee's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Torres controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mcgee controls Torres momentarily but Torres frees himself. Torres pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mcgee is keeping the position for now. Torres is fighting to break Mcgee's control of his arms but Mcgee is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Quickski Mcgee. Torres looks for a takedown but Mcgee sprawls well. Torres blocks a head kick by Mcgee.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Mcgee. Mcgee tries to clinch but Torres moves out of range. Torres throws a series of punches but Mcgee avoids them all with ease. Mcgee moves to clinch but Torres breaks away and Torres counters with a straight right hand. Mcgee tries a head kick but it misses.
Mcgee slips a jab and a cross from Torres.
Horrible takedown by Mcgee or perhaps it was just good defense by Torres which made him look bad. Mcgee throws a head kick but Torres moves out of range.
Mcgee is breathing heavily. Mcgee throws a sloppy head kick and Torres moves out of range easily. Mcgee checks a low kick from Torres. Good shot there by Torres. Torres fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcgee avoids it really well and circles away. Torres scores with a three punch combo!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgee wants to clinch but Torres slips to the side and Torres counters with a three punch combo that has Mcgee backing up. Mcgee nods at Torres to acknowledge the strikes. Torres moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Mcgee is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mcgee throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Oh Mcgee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Torres clinches. Torres is trying to break the clinch but Mcgee has him pressed against the cage. Mcgee with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Torres looking to stall.
Mcgee seems to have got his legs back now. Torres gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcgee.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Torres.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgee throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Mcgee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcgee moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Mcgee dives in and grabs Torres's left leg, looking for a takedown. Torres pushes down on Mcgee's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quickski Mcgee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab from Torres. Mcgee doesn't manage to clinch there - Torres circles away.
Mcgee gets tackled into the cage by Torres. Torres maintains the clinch. Torres has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Mcgee looks to throw an elbow but misses. Torres controlling the action here for a moment.
Mcgee is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Torres to keep the fight standing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Torres is trying to push Mcgee away but Mcgee has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Mcgee has Torres pressed against the cage, preventing Torres from circling away and getting back to striking at range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mcgee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Torres walks away with a smile on his face. Mcgee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Torres shoots in for a takedown and gets it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Skip Torres dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Torres feints and as Mcgee raises his hands in defense, Torres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Torres stays in close to Mcgee's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Torres sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcgee's guard. Torres is looking to advance position but Mcgee won't allow it. Torres looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Torres wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcgee is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Torres moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mcgee's legs. Torres is staying tight to Mcgee's torso, preventing him from escaping. Torres is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mcgee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Torres laying and praying for a moment but Mcgee takes advantage and regains half guard.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcgee's head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Torres is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mcgee defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

"You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Torres, as that shot connected.

Mcgee tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Torres avoids it. Torres pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mcgee tries to keep at a distance but Torres has taken the fight into the clinch. Mcgee keeps control of Torres as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mcgee tries to break free but Torres pushes him back against the cage. Torres manages to pull guard.

Torres is looking to sweep but instead, Mcgee has passed into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Torres wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Torres is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcgee is aware though and is defending well. Torres working a defensive guard here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Torres holds on and takes a little breather. Torres is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mcgee postures up.
Quickski Mcgee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Skip Torres is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mcgee trying to control but Torres is working from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mcgee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Torres closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mcgee quickly recovers to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Skip Torres comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Torres winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sundin to score with a decent uppercut. Sundin connects with a crisp jab. Tanner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A jab lands there for Sundin. Tanner gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Tanner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tanner is looking to clinch but Sundin is avoiding it.

Tanner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sundin lands with a hook. Tanner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Tanner shoots for a takedown but Sundin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sundin lands with a shot to the body. Tanner shoots in for a takedown but Sundin shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dismas Tanner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tanner moves to clinch but Sundin breaks away letting Sundin counter with a right hand. Ivan Sundin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sundin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Sundin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Sundin cracks Tanner with a right hand to the side of the head. Tanner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sundin. Tanner looks to throw the jab but Sundin is out of range. Ivan Sundin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sundin cracks Tanner with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sundin throws out a powerful jab. A cross from Sundin lands. Sundin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tanner had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Sundin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Luckily it didn't land flush. Sundin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tanner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tanner takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That sent Tanner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tanner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sundin as he avoids it easily. Tanner is breathing heavily. Sundin stuns Tanner with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sundin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Tanner fails to land the takedown. Sundin cracks a nice hook into Tanner's ribs. Sundin throws a one two combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sundin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Nice body punch from Sundin. A punch lands to the side of Tanner 's head but he takes it in his stride. Tanner looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sundin catches Tanner with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sundin lands a jab to Tanner's midsection. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sundin slaps away a takedown attempt from Tanner, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sundin digs a good body shot into Tanner's ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tanner. Tanner wants to slow Sundin down by chopping away at his legs. Sundin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Tanner might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Sundin jabs at Tanner's body. Tanner on the wrong end of a nice jab. Sundin lands a jab to the head.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Tanner. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Sundin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tanner is defended easily by Sundin. Sundin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Sundin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tanners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Sundin is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tanner rather than just go for the knockout. Sundin's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sundin duly obliges. Nice takedown defense from Sundin. No joy for Tanner on that attempt. Sundin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tanner under the eye. Tanner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Sundin scores with a jab to the body. Sundin scores with a body shot.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sundin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sundin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tanner on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tanner tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sundin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Greywar tries to bum rush Pongolle with a series of wild strikes but Pongolle uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pongolle looks for a takedown but Greywar sprawls well. Pongolle looks for the body kick but Greywar saw that one coming. Greywar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pongolle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Greywar somewhat. Decent striking displayed by Greywar there. Pongolle shoots in and drives through. Greywar sprawls well. River Greywar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Pierre Pongolle. A head kick from Chouncheun lands but Fortune takes it in his stride. Fortune moves out of range of the leg kick from Chouncheun. A head kick misses from Chouncheun. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chouncheun lands a big head kick that sends Fortune to the canvas! Chouncheun follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
