Schillaci shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Schillaci keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Takaku, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Takaku misses with a wild body shot.
Davis ducks under a wild hook from Takaku.
Davis moves away from the strike by Takaku.
Takaku throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis.
Davis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Takaku eats them both and turns towards Davis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Davis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takaku.
Davis defending well as Takaku loads up on a big left hand.

Daisuke Takaku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takaku looks to land a right hand but Davis moved out of range.
Davis thuds a left hand into Takaku's body.
Takaku ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.
Davis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Takaku fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Davis to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Davis looks to clinch but Takaku throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Davis taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Crusoe misses the target.
Chance missing with a left hand there. Crusoe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chance scores with a nice right hand.
Chance's corner calls for a 1-2. Chance obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Chance throws a shot to the body.
Robinson Crusoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crusoe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chance avoids it really well and circles away.
Chance looks to throw the jab but Crusoe is out of range.
Chance fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Crusoe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chance defends it nicely.
Crusoe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chance's waist but Chance gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crusoe off to one side.
Charle Chance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robinson Crusoe.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Crusoe.
Crusoe slips a jab from Chance.

Crusoe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Chance is trying to buck Crusoe off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
