The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sato works his foot free and advances to mount. Mash in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sato lands a heavy elbow. Sato landing strikes, looking to finish! Sato lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sato postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mash looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sato controlling the pace for now. Sato lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mash hang on?
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato landing strikes from the mount. Mash taking shots to the head. Sato with shots to the head and body - Mash looks very uncomfortable down there. Sato working Mash over with strikes here. Mash is breathing heavily. Sato raining down shots from the mount! Sato pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sato tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sato lands a nice shot to the head. Sato has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mash's face.
Sato breaks from Mash's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sato lands a big shot there that rocks Mash but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It's a big risk for Sato but it's paid off an Mash is forced to tap! Nice work by Sato.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bone lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming. Bone looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bone paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Bone circles away.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bone swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bone darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silva gets full guard. Silva keeping full guard, as Bone tries to pass. Silva looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Silva is adopting a defensive guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silva keeping moving, preventing Bone from controlling successfully. Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bone on the ground.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Bone circles away.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bone's guard. Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well. Silva wants to pass the guard but Bone is keeping the position. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Bone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bone working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Silva lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Bone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bone isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Silva stacks Bone on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Silva! Bone looks gassed! Silva in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bone for as long as he can get away with. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bone is looking for a sweep. Silva lands a nice forearm strike. Bone throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bone lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming. Silva has managed to clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Silva takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bone avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bone looking to slow down the pace here. Silva manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bone pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bone presses Silva against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Silva creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Silva is struggling to control the position. Bone is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bone down to the mat. Bone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rodriguez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rodriguez lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Jade dives in and grabs Rodriguez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes down on Jade's head and hops out. Jade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rodriguez lunges at Jade with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jade's hand. Rodriguez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Rodriguez pushes Jade away with a front kick. Rodriguez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jade's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jade. Rodriguez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rodriguez feints and then cracks Jade's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jade down. Rodriguez throws a head kick that misses. Jade looks for a takedown but Rodriguez sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Jade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rodriguez throws a head kick that Jade semi-blocks.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jade waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rodriguez. Rodriguez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rodriguez wants it to stay on the feet. Rodriguez plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! An inside leg kick lands from Rodriguez. Jab by Rodriguez. Rodriguez lands a head kick!
Rodriguez gets caught flat footed, as Jade shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jade is breathing heavily. Jade slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rodriguez keeping moving, preventing Jade from controlling successfully. Jade looking to sit in guard and control but Rodriguez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jade lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rodriguez!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rodriguez is squirming around, avoiding Jade's attempts to control the action. Jade has hold of Rodriguez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rodriguez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Albert Rodriguez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Albert Rodriguez's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A shot to de liver by Rodriguez. Beautiful body shot. Jade listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jade shoots for a takedown but Rodriguez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A slow jab from Jade misses its intended target. A big right from Jade misses. Jade shoots in looking for a takedown. Rodriguez tries to sprawl out of it but Jade keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rodriguez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rodriguez walks into a straight right hand from Jade. Rodriguez doesn't manage to clinch there - Jade circles away.
Horrible takedown by Jade or perhaps it was just good defense by Rodriguez which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Jade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jade gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rodriguez counters with a big head kick but Jade shrugs it off. Rodriguez lands a nice shot to the body.

and Rodriguez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jade is lucky that one didn't land flush. Albert Rodriguez seems to be getting the better of the standup. An inside leg kick lands from Rodriguez. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd cheers as Jade lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rodriguez doesn't seem phased though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodriguez lands a jab. Jade shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rodriguez sprawls well. Rodriguez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jade gets slowly back to his feet. Jade misses with a looping left. Jade looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jade misses with a hook. Rodriguez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jade's head backwards. Rodriguez plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rodriguez avoids the body shot from Jade.
Jade throws a jab but it's blocked by Rodriguez. Rodriguez lands with a kick to the temple. Jade shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jade misses with an uppercut. Rodriguez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rodriguez lands a head kick!
Rodriguez scores with a push kick. Rodriguez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jade. That did some damage! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rodriguez throws a nice head kick!

Oh Jade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jade takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Rodriguez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jade looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rodriguez circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Jade drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Rodriguez follows Jade to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
