The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mot throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Mot moves into the clinch successfully.
Soto goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mot prevents it.
Soto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mot avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mot lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Soto backwards.
Soto changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mot fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tom Mot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Soto.
Nice takedown defense from Mot. No joy for Soto on that attempt.
Mot moves out of range as Soto strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Soto.
Soto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Mot bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Soto's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Soto is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Mot has his hands clasped together but Soto extends and breaks Mot's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Soto.
