Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sync Fowler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, El Chihuahua! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fowler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chihuahua's waist but Chihuahua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fowler off to one side. Fowler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chihuahua as he jumps to the side. Chihuahua misses with a head kick.
Sync Fowler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fowler gets a takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fowler wants to control but Chihuahua is keeping him busy. Fowler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fowler seems to be looking for submissions.
Chihuahua pushes Fowler off looking to stand but Fowler dives back in and keeps control.
Fowler is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Chihuahua still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Chihuahua has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Chihuahua decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chihuahua with a nice cross. Fowler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chihuahua.
Fowler is rocked! Some wild striking there from Chihuahua.
Oh Fowler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chihuahua leaves Fowler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sync Fowler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chihuahua feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fowler sprawling to the canvas! Fowler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Chihuahua finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chihuahua throws an overhand right that drops Fowler like a sack of potatoes! Chihuahua dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). El Chihuahua! El Chihuahua gave a mention to Inner Beast Nutrition And Laundry in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).

15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Jones! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones closes the distance but Callaghan moves to the side and Callaghan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Callaghan throws a leg kick but Jones moved away. A big left from Jones misses. Callaghan misses with a hook. Both fighters circling a little - Jones finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Callaghan works the jab nicely. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Callaghan manages to avoid it. Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Callaghan. Nice shot by Callaghan. Callaghan scores with a hook. Jones pushes Callaghan away with a front kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Callaghan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones moves away from the strike by Callaghan. Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Callaghan. Callaghan lands a lovely overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaghan ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Callaghan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Callaghan loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch. Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Callaghan.

Callaghan darts in trying to clinch and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Callaghan won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Callaghan is not content to let Jones control the position. Callaghan dodges the ground and pound from Jones. Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jones taking a break here but Callaghan is having none of it and regains half guard. Callaghan is looking to improve his position.

Callaghan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones. Callaghan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Callaghan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Callaghan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Callaghan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones. Callaghan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Callaghan scores with a punch to the head. Callaghan misses with a right hand and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Callaghan tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. Callaghan regains half guard, as Jones was trying to land strikes. Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Jones is thwarting Callaghan's attempts to control the position. Jones trying to control from Callaghan's half guard. Callaghan has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callaghan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Callaghan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Callaghan lands a couple of digs. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Andrew Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Callaghan content to stall in guard here. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Callaghan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Callaghan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Callaghan has escaped and now he's on top! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Callaghan is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment. Jones is looking to pass into half guard but Callaghan pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Callaghan is in guard. Jones passes into half guard. Callaghan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Callaghan. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Callaghan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Richard Callaghan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Callaghan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Richard Callaghan. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He's out cold! Clavet gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Penn getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Thompson misses with a lunging right hand
and Penn makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Penn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Penn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Penn on the wrong end of a nice jab. Thompson misses with a double jab.
Penn stuffs the takedown. Thompson misses with a wild combination.

Penn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Thompson to the mat! Thompson manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Penn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Thompson is trying to control the position but Penn postures up.

Thompson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Penn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Thompson has his foot on Penn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Penn works his way back into a safe position though. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thompson shoots in looking for a takedown but Penn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thompson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Penn clobbers Thompson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Thompson takes one to the chin there. Thompson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Penn to the ground. Thompson is now in Penn's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thompson throws a strike but Penn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Thompson wants to sweep but no luck. Thompson keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully. Thompson keeping full guard, as Penn tries to pass. Thompson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Thompson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Thompson is trying to control Penn's posture but Penn avoids it. Penn trying to control the action but Thompson is working from the bottom. Thompson manages to get back to half guard. Penn missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Penn prevents Thompson from improving his position. Thompson is staying active underneath Penn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Penn is thwarting Thompson's attempts to control the position. Thompson is refusing to be controlled, as Penn sits in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Claude Thompson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Penn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Penn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Cassius Penn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Decent striking displayed by Penn there. Thompson scores with a takedown into Penn's guard. Penn has control of Thompson's left arm, preventing Thompson from doing any damage. Penn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Redshaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wright keeping moving, preventing Redshaw from controlling successfully. Wright is controlling Redshaw's posture. Wright manages to escape and get back to his feet.

He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Redshaw and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Redshaw cracks Wright with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Wright scoring well with a low kick there.

Wright doesn't manage to clinch there - Redshaw circles away.

Redshaw misses with a takedown attempt - Wright sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Redshaw lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Redshaw thows a body shot but no joy. Wright throws a right and a left that both miss. Wright drives through with a takedown into Redshaw's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Larkin wants it to stay on the feet. Ryan Larkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Simpson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Piper's head backwards. Piper has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Simpson . Piper tries to bum rush Simpson with a series of wild strikes but Simpson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Homer Simpson . Well I reckon that's a shut out for Simpson , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves thows a body shot but no joy. Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bueno looks to score with a jab to the body but Alves is just out of range. Alves shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bueno is trying to defend but Alves finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bueno is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bueno is trying to maintain the position but Alves is very close to passing his half guard. Alves throwing shots but Bueno is blocking nicely. Bueno tries to get to full guard but Alves has control of the leg. Alves works his way into side control. Bueno manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Alves is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

It looks like Dick Inc has been cut. Inc looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Inc swings wildly with an uppercut but Green uses good head movement to avoid it. Inc pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Inc pulls out of a head kick attempt.
