The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from McGregor. Those never looked like landing.
McGregor lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Syatt backs up against the cage.
McGregor swinging wildly here.
Syatt misses with a looping right.
A punch combination from McGregor misses.
McGregor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Syatt circles away quickly and effectively.
McGregor misses with a series of wild punches.

Syatt feints and as McGregor raises his hands in defense, Syatt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Syatt trying to control the position from guard on top but McGregor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McGregor wants to stand and escape but Syatt is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Syatt advances position into side control!

Syatt is working to tighten is grip on McGregor's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McGregor has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Syatt is really squeezing tight and eventually McGregor passes out! Syatt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ulriksen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mckenzie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ulriksen is in Mckenzie's guard.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Marvin!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marvin connects with a nice looking jab.
Tiernan tries a head kick but it misses.
Tiernan feints and then cracks Marvin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marvin down.
A chopping leg kick lands by Tiernan.
Marvin is looking to clinch but Tiernan is avoiding it.

Tiernan darts in and clinches Marvin up against the cage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tiernan scores with a one two! Marvin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Tiernan wants to stand but Marvin is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Tiernan tried to score with a low kick but Marvin checks it.
Tiernan scores with the left hand. Marvin knows he should have avoided that one.

A close second round but King Marvin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on King Marvin's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Tiernan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Tiernan closes the distance and pushes Marvin back into the cage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Marvin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tiernan. Tiernan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

A bone on bone clash there as Marvin blocks the leg kick.
Tiernan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Marvin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marvin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tiernan tries to avoid it but Marvin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tiernan to the ground. Tiernan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tiernan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Marvin to score an easy takedown into full guard.

King Marvin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Marvin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
