The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Snabel. Those never looked like landing.
Snabel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Elephant .

Elephant throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Snabel tumbling to the canvas!

and Guevera counters with a single leg into guard. Il didn't expect that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Guevera missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guevera in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Il is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Il had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guevera defends it easily.
