Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Manne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Jalenpeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stanley Manne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Jalenpeno! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manne looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jalenpeno! Manne has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jalenpeno's face.
Jalenpeno is rocked! Manne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Manne scoring with strikes but Jalenpeno is staying in there. Jalenpeno is still in real trouble! Can Manne finish him? Jalenpeno wants to control but Manne is having none of it. Manne could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Manne with shots to the head and body - Jalenpeno looks very uncomfortable down there. Manne lands a big shot there that rocks Jalenpeno but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
It looks like Jose Jalenpeno has been cut. Jalenpeno tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jalenpeno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Manne controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jalenpeno wants to hold on but Manne pushes him away. Jalenpeno seems to have recovered his senses. Manne content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Manne cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jalenpeno squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Manne tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jalenpeno is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Jalenpeno looks gassed! Manne content just to control the position here. Manne looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manne controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jalenpeno is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Manne is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jalenpeno can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Manne with a couple of short strikes. Jalenpeno tries to get back to half guard but can't. Manne dominating with strikes here. Manne lands a nice shot to the head. Manne looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jalenpeno can do anything to dispel that myth. Jalenpeno tries to lock up and control but Manne gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stanley Manne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Manne gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Manne fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Manne doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jalenpeno holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jalenpeno escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manne looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Manne tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jalenpeno counters with a nice body kick.
Manne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jalenpeno as he avoids it easily. Manne looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Manne is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jalenpeno is just riding it out for now. Manne eventually gives up the hold. Jalenpeno tries to get to full guard but Manne has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jalenpeno wants to control but Manne is keeping busy.

Manne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jalenpeno does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jalenpeno trying to keep a closed guard but Manne is proving a slippery customer.
Manne trying to control but Jalenpeno is working from the bottom. Manne gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manne looks for a takedown but Jalenpeno sprawls well. Manne tries to clinch up but Jalenpeno circles away and keeps his distance. Jalenpeno slips a jab and a cross from Manne.

Manne is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jalenpeno can't fight it off and eventually Manne manages to take the fight to the floor. Jalenpeno looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Manne postures up.
Jalenpeno is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Manne is controlling him. Manne chips away with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jalenpeno is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jalenpeno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jalenpeno throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Jalenpeno will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Manne looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jalenpeno tries to roll over but Manne keeps him under control. Jose Jalenpeno has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Manne keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Manne scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
And that's the end of the fight! Stanley Manne showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Manne, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gapuz. Koala fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Koala lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Koala throws a nice head kick!
Gapuz is rocked! Koala Rushes Gapuz and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Gapuz is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Koala Piles on the pressure and Gapuz crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

DeAngelo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mezias as he avoids it easily. DeAngelo tries for a takedown but Mezias circles away easily and Mezias counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mezias. Mezias has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but DeAngelo regains guard immediately. DeAngelo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mezias puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. DeAngelo looking for submissions off his back. Mezias perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. DeAngelo missing with punches from the bottom.
DeAngelo tries to kick Mezias off but Mezias keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mezias is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but DeAngelo is surviving well by controlling Mezias's body position as best he can. DeAngelo in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mezias moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, DeAngelo has worked his arm free - good work by DeAngelo!
Mezias wants to lay and pray for a moment but DeAngelo keeps working. Mezias is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but DeAngelo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mezias in side control lands a decent elbow. Mezias is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Mezias tries to move to mount but DeAngelo blocks the move with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeAngelo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Mezias has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, DeAngelo works to full guard. DeAngelo is trying to keep Mezias in close.
Mezias stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mezias gets the takedown into side control. DeAngelo is being controlled here. Mezias stands up and beckons DeAngelo to his feet. Good shot there by DeAngelo. Mezias shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Mezias showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

DeAngelo is rocked! Mezias get's back to his feet. DeAngelo gets caught flat footed, as Mezias shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. DeAngelo pulls Mezias in to control the position. Mezias gets to his feet. DeAngelo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mezias fails with the takedown. DeAngelo tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mezias counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mezias takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mezias circles away from the clinch attempt and Mezias holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeAngelo tries to break the clinch but Mezias is controlling the position. Mezias manages to break the clinch.

Mezias tries for a takedown but DeAngelo circles away easily and DeAngelo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mezias's guard now. DeAngelo won't allow Mezias to get back to his feet. DeAngelo wants to control from the top but Mezias keeps moving. Mezias is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mezias looking to hit a scissor sweep but DeAngelo is one step ahead there. Mezias had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. DeAngelo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mezias Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take DeAngelo's back instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mezias doesn't have the hooks in and DeAngelo manages to turn into his guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mezias scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. DeAngelo is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Mezias decides to take the fight back to the feet. DeAngelo misses with a takedown attempt and Mezias counters with a nice double leg into side control. DeAngelo won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! You can see the frustration on DeAngelo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. DeAngelo dodges the ground and pound from Mezias.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeAngelo is looking to regain half guard here but Mezias keeps moving and retains side control. Mezias tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mezias has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! DeAngelo wants to get back to his feet. DeAngelo tries to get back to half guard but can't.

DeAngelo is trying to maintain a safe position but Mezias gets an underhook and turns DeAngelo into the cage. Mezias manages to break the clinch.

DeAngelo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tszyu scores with a jab. Mattiger tries to clinch up but Tszyu circles away and keeps his distance. Tszyu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Konstantin Tszyu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mattiger tries to clinch up. Mattiger moves in looking to clinch but Tszyu pushes him off. Tszyu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mattiger. Tszyu circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mattiger is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tszyu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Mattiger on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tszyu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Tszyu lands with a right to the head. Tszyu gets through Mattiger's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Mattiger tries to pull guard but Tszyu won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gapuz avoids a kick to the body.
Gapuz throws out a loose jab but DeAngelo uses good head movement to avoid it. DeAngelo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gapuz as he avoids it easily. DeAngelo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gapuz throws out the jab. Gapuz throws a lazy right hand but DeAngelo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. DeAngelo moves out of range of the strikes. DeAngelo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gapuz bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops DeAngelo! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Rampage thows a body shot but no joy. Rampage swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ur uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rampage. Rampage misses with an uppercut. Ur avoids the body shot from Rampage.
Ur keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rampage throws a body punch but Ur moves out of range. Ur defending well as Rampage loads up on a big left hand. Ur drives through with a takedown into guard. Ur looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ur is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ur drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ur jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rampage keeping full guard, as Ur tries to pass.

Ur looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ur works to advance to full mount. Rampage defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ur has control of Rampage's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rampage regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rampage squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
