The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pires gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Naamahaara counters with a head kick that drops Pires - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Naamahaara decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Pires shoots in and drives through. Naamahaara sprawls well. Pires gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kamala Naamahaara! After winning the bout, Kamala Naamahaara thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uzi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ghanizadeh pinned against the cage. Ghanizadeh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ghanizadeh lands a high kick!
Ghanizadeh moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A swing and a miss from Ghanizadeh. Ghanizadeh tries to land a front kick but Uzi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Uzi clobbers Ghanizadeh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ghanizadeh, right into the meat.
Amir Ghanizadeh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ghanizadeh lands a high kick!
Ghanizadeh throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ghanizadeh lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Uzi wants to clinch. Ghanizadeh walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Uzi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ghanizadeh tries to work over Uzi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Uzi is refusing to be controlled, as Ghanizadeh sits in half guard. Uzi wants to improve his position but Ghanizadeh is controlling well.

Diaz tries for a takedown but Bomb sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bomb looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bomb motions for Diaz to come forward. Bomb throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bomb takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Diaz jabs Bomb right on the nose. Bomb blinks but takes it well. Bomb pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Diaz.

Dylan Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gay Bomb. Diaz connects with a single shot there.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bomb avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Diaz. Bomb is not content to let Diaz control the position. Bomb managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Diaz.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bomb tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bomb holds on to Diaz's head and controls the position momentarily. Diaz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bomb some visible discomfort.
Diaz just content to control the position. Bomb is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bomb has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though. Diaz not landing any meaningful shots this time.

19 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Juhani Kontiovaara! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kontiovaara. Kontiovaara checks a low kick from Thapa. Thapa wants to clinch. Kontiovaara throws a series of punches but Thapa moves out of range. Kontiovaara keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kontiovaara gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Thapa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kontiovaara won't be happy with that. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Kontiovaara defending against the ground and pound. Thapa working the ground and pound but Kontiovaara is defending the strikes.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kontiovaara throws a big right hand that misses. It looks like Juhani Kontiovaara has been cut. Kontiovaara lets loose with a powerful body kick. Thapa will feel that in the morning. A kick lands to the mid section there for Thapa. Thapa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kontiovaara stuffs the takedown. Thapa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kontiovaara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kontiovaara is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thapa. Kontiovaara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kontiovaara ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thapa moves away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Thapa swings away with an uppercut that misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thapa keeps control of Kontiovaara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Juhani Kontiovaara has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thapa is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. And that's the end of the fight! Sundar Thapa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thapa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nurmi looking for a sweep. Not yet Nurmi, not yet. Marsden is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nurmi controlling the position. Marsden works over Nurmi with some ground and pound from guard. Marsden preventing the sweep. Nurmi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Marsden! Marsden is looking to improve his position but Nurmi isn't that keen on the idea. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Smido is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
