Madsen is rocked! Larsson finds Madsen's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Madsen flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. Larsson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Madsen will be OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castaway takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Castaway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Turner. Castaway thuds a left hand into Turner's body. Turner shoots in looking for a takedown but Castaway manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Castaway pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Turner back to the ropes. Castaway follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Steve Turner has been cut. Turner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Castaway as he avoids it easily. Castaway stuns Turner with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Turner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Turner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Castaway works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Castaway is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Castaway is looking to stand up but Turner isn't so interested in that idea. Turner looking to pass the guard. Turner stops Castaway from standing up. Turner won't allow Castaway to sweep him here. Turner is pushing down on Castaway's leg trying to pass to half guard. Castaway is fighting to maintain full guard but Turner has managed to sneak the leg through. Turner prevents Castaway from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Turner wants to stand up but Castaway has a hold of him and won't allow it. Castaway slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Turner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Castaway keeping moving, preventing Turner from controlling successfully. Castaway keeping full guard, as Turner tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Castaway wants to stand up but Turner is controlling him. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castaway pushes Turner off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Turner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Castaway lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turner misses with a body kick. The Castaway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Turner thows a left - swing and a miss! Castaway checks a leg kick. Turner wants to land a leg kick but Castaway is out of range. Turner shoots in for a takedown but Castaway shows good takedown defense. The Castaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Turner. Castaway lands a jab-cross combination. Castaway blocks a low kick nicely. Turner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Castaway did well to prevent Turner getting side control. Castaway is pressing down on Turner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Castaway is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Turner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castaway has momentary wrist control but Turner slips an elbow through the middle. Turner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Turner's corner is telling him to maintain position. Castaway is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Turner wants to get back to full guard. Turner is still trying to improve position. Still in half guard, Castaway seems content to control. Castaway moves nicely into side control. Turner is looking for a sweep. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Castaway controlling from side mount. Turner sneaks back into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castaway wants to free his trapped foot but Turner is holding on for dear life with his legs. Castaway tries to stand and escape but Turner is controlling the position. Castaway is looking to advance position but Turner won't allow it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Castaway wants to take a breather but Turner is having none of it. Turner gets full guard. Turner keeping moving, preventing Castaway from controlling successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Turner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castaway doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Castaway manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Castaway trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
The Castaway dominated that round. The cut man is working on Steve Turner's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
