Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Kelvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoshi Kishida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcos Kelvin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Satoshi Kishida!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kishida lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kishida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kishida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kelvin's head.

Kelvin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kishida to the mat! Kishida manages to get full guard.

Kishida is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kelvin pushes down on Kishida's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Kelvin is working for a kimura but Kishida is defending it quite comfortably.

Kelvin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Kishida rushes Kelvin and presses him up against the cage.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kelvin.

Kelvin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kishida to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kishida is looking to clinch but Kelvin is avoiding it.

Kishida scores with a head kick. Kelvin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Kelvin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kishida!

Kelvin lands a nice shot to the head.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Kelvin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kelvin showed some decent athleticism there.

Kelvin decides to stand and escape the position.
Kishida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kishida goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kishida throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kelvin on the side of the head.
Kishida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kelvin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kishida tries to clinch but Kelvin is having none of it.

Kelvin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kishida's guard.
Kelvin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Marcos Kelvin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Kelvin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Kishida tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kelvin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Satoshi Kishida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kishida lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kishida looks for a takedown but Kelvin sprawls well.
Kishida throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kelvin.
Sloppy strikes from Kishida. Those never looked like landing.
Kelvin wants to clinch.
Kelvin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kishida.

Kishida circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kishida gets caught napping as Kelvin dives in and scores a takedown. Kishida manages to retain guard.
Kelvin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kelvin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kishida for as long as he can get away with.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kelvin is working Kishida over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kelvin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Kishida misses with a few strikes there.

and Kelvin counters by clinching up.
Kishida lands a good knee to the midsection. Kelvin won't want to take too many of those.
Kishida scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kishida lands an elbow that stopped Kelvin in his tracks for a moment.
Kelvin jumps guard but Kishida stands there with Kelvin around his waist. Kelvin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kishida tries to pull guard but Kelvin won't allow it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kishida.
Kishida wants to take the fight to the mat but Kelvin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kelvin goes for a takedown attempt but Kishida pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kishida gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kishida takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kishida wants to get back to his feet but Kelvin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kelvin gets to his feet. Kishida looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kishida tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kelvin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kelvin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kishida has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kelvin after a bit of a struggle.
Marcos Kelvin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Satoshi Kishida.
Kishida has had enough of the clinch but Kelvin keeps him there for the moment.

Kelvin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kishida to keep the fight standing.

Kelvin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kishida connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kelvin's face.
Kelvin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kishida fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kishida doesn't manage to clinch there - Kelvin circles away.
Kishida throws a sloppy head kick and Kelvin moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown by Kishida or perhaps it was just good defense by Kelvin which made him look bad.

Kelvin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kishida on his heels. He'll look to pass Kishida's guard now, I'm sure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kishida can't keep his opponent in guard - Kelvin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kelvin works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kelvin with the ground and pound from mount.
Kishida is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Kishida tries to lock up and control but Kelvin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kelvin scoring with strikes but Kishida is staying in there.
Satoshi Kishida has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kishida is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Marcos Kelvin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kelvin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
