Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Roger Scott struggled to make weight for this fight. A momentary lapse in concentration from Side enables Murry to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Side manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murry wants to pass the guard but Side is keeping the position.

Cartright gets caught napping as Salnik dives in and scores a takedown. Cartright manages to retain guard.

Salnik throws a strike but Cartright rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Salnik has his feet on Cartright's thighs here. He's pushed Cartright off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Cartright screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
