1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Valentin Lluca! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popov misses with a takedown and Lluca decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Popov's guard. Popov looking for a sweep. Not yet Popov, not yet. Lluca postures up and lands a big shot to Popov's brow. Popov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lluca with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Popov is on top in guard.
Popov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lluca looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lluca looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lluca! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lluca working away. Lluca is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Popov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Popov is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Main Event Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lluca throwing shots but missing, from side control. Lluca throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Lluca working away. Popov is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Popov taking punishment in the form of punches.
Popov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lluca connects with a decent elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lluca is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. You can see the frustration on Popov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lluca looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lluca trying to control the action but Popov is working from the bottom. Popov is looking for a sweep. Lluca working away. Popov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lluca wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Popov can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lluca wants to control but Popov is keeping him busy. Popov is trying to improve his position. Popov wants to control but Lluca postures up. Lluca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Popov keeps working. Lluca is staying tight to Popov's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Popov shoots in and drives through. Lluca sprawls well. Lluca scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lluca fails with a takedown attempt. Popov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lluca quickly recovers to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lluca is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lluca trying to control but Popov postures up.
Popov wants to pass to mount but Lluca is defending the position. Popov is working hard here to advance position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Popov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Popov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Valentin Lluca dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Popov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lluca looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Popov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lluca to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lluca must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Popov trying to control the position.
Lluca with a flurry of punches that miss. Lluca trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lluca trying to control the position from guard on top but Popov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Popov pulls Lluca in close to his closed guard and prevents Lluca from doing any damage or advancing position.
Jack Popov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Popov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lluca paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lluca gets the takedown into side control. Lluca is working Popov over with some ground and pound from side control. Popov is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Popov is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lluca's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lluca is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Popov is trying to maintain the position but Lluca is very close to passing his half guard. Popov tries to get to full guard but Lluca has control of the leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Popov manages to regain full guard. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Lluca stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Popov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Popov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Popov. Lluca throws a nice looking combination but Popov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lluca misses with a double jab.
Lluca misses with a few strikes there.
Popov goes for a double leg but Lluca avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lluca continues to drive forward. Popov pulls guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lluca's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Popov working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lluca wants to control from the top but Popov keeps moving. Valentin Lluca has got the better of the ground game so far. Lluca is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lluca stops Popov from standing up. Popov keeping full guard, as Lluca tries to pass. Popov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lluca is one step ahead there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lluca is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Valentin Lluca showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Lluca stuffs the takedown attempt from Popov. Popov gets slowly back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Popov. Popov dives in and grabs Lluca's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lluca pushes down on Popov's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Popov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Popov shoots in for a takedown but Lluca shows good takedown defense. Popov shoots and misses and Lluca counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Popov's guard now. Lluca sitting in guard here, content to control. Popov working a defensive guard but Lluca passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Popov is trying is best to control the position here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lluca connects with a nice short shot to Popov's temple. Popov is trying to get back to full guard. Popov is trying to control but Lluca manages to pass to mount!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lluca tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Lluca lands a big elbow. Popov is trying to escape the mount.
Popov regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lluca with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Popov is concentrating on defense, preventing Lluca from advancing position. Lluca looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lluca lands strikes from half guard. Lluca prevents Popov from improving his position. Lluca seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lluca sitting and controlling from the half guard. Popov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lluca is working away from the top position though. Lluca is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Valentin Lluca is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Popov wants to get back to full guard. Lluca trying to control the pace. Lluca slips a nice elbow through Popov's hands, connecting with Popov's forehead. Lluca looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Lluca wants to free his trapped foot but Popov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Popov tries to roll over but Lluca keeps him under control. Popov won't allow Lluca to pass to mount. Popov wants to improve his position but Lluca is controlling well.
Lluca takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jack Popov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Popov tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Valentin Lluca comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lluca winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock slips a jab and a cross from Black.
Shamrock throws a series of punches but Black moves out of range. Shamrock throws a body punch but Black moves out of range. Black misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A jab from Shamrock misses. Shamrock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Black sprawls well. Black wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shamrock gets slowly back to his feet. Shamrock fails in his attempt to clinch. Black connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Shamrock's hands. Black shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shamrock pinned against the cage. Shamrock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Black fails to land the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Shamrock looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shamrock closes the distance and pushes Black back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Shamrock's elbow. Shamrock breaks from the clinch.
Black has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vinnie Black. That's going to take a lot out of him. Black lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Black. Shamrock looks to score with a jab to the body but Black is just out of range. Shamrock has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Black tries to clinch but Shamrock is having none of it. Black tries to clinch up. Black is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vinnie Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shamrock fails with the takedown. Black shoots in looking for a takedown. Shamrock tries to sprawl out of it but Black keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shamrock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Shamrock displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Black. Nice straight punches there by Shamrock. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shamrock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Shamrock takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Black closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shamrock circles away. Black fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shamrock sprawls well initially but Black persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Shamrock has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Black is on him like a limpet, forcing Shamrock back against the cage. Shamrock has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Good body shot from Black.
Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shamrock gets in close and instigates a clinch. Shamrock breaks from the clinch.
Black darts in looking for a takedown but Shamrock gets double underhooks and turns Black into the cage. Shamrock is trying to push Black away but Black has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. I was talking to Black's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Black looking for a takedown. Black tries to circle away but Shamrock has him pinned against the cage. Black is trying to break the clinch but Shamrock has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shamrock's efforts to push away. Black is trying to break the clinch but Shamrock has him pressed against the cage. Black's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shamrock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Black as he jumps to the side. Black tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shamrock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Black somewhat. Black swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Shamrock comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Shamrock fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Black dives in for a single leg takedown but Shamrock sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Black is trying to force a seperation but Shamrock has the dominant position. Black wants a takedown but no success here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Black backs away from a small jab... but Shamrock lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Black crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Shamrock with a spectacular finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warrior circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bradley pivots, looking for a leg kick but Warrior is out of range and Bradley settles back down. Bradley avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bradley tries to clinch up. Bradley wants to land a leg kick but Warrior is out of range. Milton Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bradley tries to clinch there but Warrior circles away.
Warrior avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bradley tries to clinch up. Bradley thumps Warrior with a low kick. Bradley fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Warrior checks it well. Bradley throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Bradley moves to clinch but Warrior breaks away and Warrior counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bradley won't be happy with that. Bradley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Warrior is trying to get an arm triangle but Bradley is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Bradley sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Bradley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Warrior is working away from the top position though. Bradley is looking to improve his position.

Big trouble for Bradley! Warrior trying to control but he's not successful this time. Warrior pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bradley is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bradley tries to improve his position but instead Warrior has taken his back! Can Bradley hold on?! Warrior is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Warrior looking for the choke from the back. Warrior working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Bradley is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Warrior has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Bradley taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ultimate Warrior! A relieved looking Ultimate Warrior thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Visnadi on the wrong end of a nice jab. Mvungi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Visnadi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Visnadi gets the takedown into side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Visnadi trying to control the action but Mvungi is working from the bottom. Mvungi can't do much from the bottom here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mvungi can do anything to dispel that myth. Visnadi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mvungi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Visnadi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mvungi has escaped the position, nice work there.

and Mvungi counters with a nice uppercut. Mvungi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mvungi has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Visnadi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Visnadi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Visnadi shoots for a double leg takedown but Mvungi sprawls well. He's pushed Visnadi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Visnadi dodges the punch combination from Mvungi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Visnadi dives in for a single leg takedown but Mvungi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Visnadi is rocked! Mvungi lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Visnadi up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Mvungi from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Visnadi's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymond Marcos! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mambo shoots in for a double leg but Marcos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Marcos thows a body shot but no joy. Marcos misses with a looping right. Mambo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marcos. Marcos throws a series of punches but Mambo avoids them all with ease. Marcos misses with a body shot.
Marcos throws a right and a left that Mambo avoids nicely. Mambo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marcos did well to prevent Mambo getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mambo throwing shots but Marcos is blocking nicely. Mambo trying to control the pace. Marcos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mambo is thwarting Marcos's attempts to control the position. Marcos tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Mambo has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Mambo scoring with strikes but Marcos is staying in there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mambo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Marcos is surviving well by controlling Mambo's body position as best he can. The referee warns Marcos that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mambo tries to control but Marcos wriggling away. Marcos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mambo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mambo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Marcos turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mambo off and cradles Marcos's limp body as Mambo celebrates with his corner.
