2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yasuhiro Yamashita ! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dias doesn't succeed with the takedown and Yamashita counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dias! Yamashita in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Sloppy strikes there by Yamashita . Dias prevents Yamashita from improving position. Yamashita is looking to take a break and control but Dias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yamashita lands an elbow. Yamashita working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. This has been an exciting period of action! Yamashita wants to control for a moment but Dias uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamashita tries to pass to full mount but Dias defends it. Yamashita frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dias is squirming around, avoiding Yamashita 's attempts to control the action. Yamashita sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Yamashita wants to finish this one by submission but Dias is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Yamashita . Yamashita prevents Dias from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamashita looking for a guillotine from mount but Dias is having none of it. Yamashita breaks from Dias's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dias is in a horrible position here. Yamashita smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamashita working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Yamashita fails to advance to Dias's back. Yamashita with shots to the head and body - Dias looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamashita tries to control but Dias wriggling away. Yamashita lands a nice shot to the head. Yamashita can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dias is looking to escape. Dias can't escape the position.
Dias is in a horrible position here. Yamashita smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Dias throwing hammer fists to the chest of Yamashita . What's that going to do exactly? Yamashita is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dias to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dias shrugs it off. Yamashita looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yamashita goes for an armbar but Dias turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dias. Dias won't allow Yamashita to sweep him here. Yamashita wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dias got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yamashita has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dias has managed to get both his arms back between Yamashita 's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dias gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dias trying to control the position.
Yamashita has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dias wants to get back to his feet but Yamashita is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Yamashita trying to control but Dias is working from the bottom. Yamashita is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dias shoots in and drives through. Yamashita sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias shoots and misses and Yamashita counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dias can't keep his opponent in guard - Yamashita advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dias is not content to let Yamashita control the position. Yamashita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dias doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yamashita . Yamashita is looking to take a break and control but Dias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamashita frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Yamashita working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yamashita is working for a guillotine from mount but Dias frees his head quite easily.
Dias is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Yamashita locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Dias is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell darts in and clinches Dan up against the cage. Dan being controlled against the cage. Liddell is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Liddell with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Liddell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Liddell gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Liddell's efforts to push away. Dan wants a takedown but no success here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell lands a knee to the head.
Liddell using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Liddell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Liddell clinches. Liddell wants a takedown.
Dan is pressed up against the cage. Liddell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dan down to the mat. Dan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Liddell moves into the clinch. Dan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Liddell is pushing Dan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dan wants a takedown but no success here.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steely Dan. Liddell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Dan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dan drops back looking for a leg! Liddell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liddell manages to kick Dan off! Dan jumps back into Liddell's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dan has gone for a leg lock! Liddell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dan's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dan has his feet on Liddell's thighs here. He's pushed Liddell off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Liddell screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Steely Dan! A very excited looking Steely Dan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sedfenor throws the kick towards the body but Nickoson avoids it. Nickoson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sedfenor moves away. A jab lands there for Nickoson. Nickoson throws a series of punches but Sedfenor moves out of range. Sedfenor closes the distance and clinches up with Nickoson, looking for a takedown. Sedfenor pushes Nickoson against the cage but Nickoson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nickoson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sedfenor manages to avoid it. Sedfenor does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sedfenor works the jab nicely. Mike Nickoson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nickoson lands a nice looking body shot.
Nickoson throws a right and a left that both miss. Nickoson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sedfenor circles away quickly and effectively. Nickoson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Sedfenor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sedfenor throws a wild body kick that Nickoson sees coming a mile off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sedfenor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nickoson throws out the jab. Sedfenor takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Nickoson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nickoson looks to land a left hand but Sedfenor moved out of range nicely. Nickoson lands a head shot. Nickoson thuds his right hand into Sedfenor's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Sedfenor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sedfenor lands a nice hook to Nickoson's body. Nickoson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nickoson throws a nice looking combination but Sedfenor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nickoson throws a right and a left that Sedfenor avoids nicely. Nickoson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sedfenor stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickoson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sedfenor fails to land the takedown. Nickoson lands a slapping body shot.

Nickoson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nickoson. Sedfenor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Nickoson. Those never looked like landing. Nickoson lands a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice body punch from Nickoson. Sedfenor throws a low kick but Nickoson moves out of range easily. Nickoson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nickoson tries to score with a low kick but Sedfenor moves his leg out of the way. Sedfenor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nickoson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mike Nickoson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamille Sedfenor. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sedfenor working a defensive guard here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yazawa, as that shot connected.
It looks like Danny Nejman has been cut. Yazawa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Takeda Yazawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yazawa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nejman momentarily.

Yazawa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Yazawa with a hook. Yazawa moves into range and connects with a jab. Nejman looks winded! Yazawa throws out a loose jab but Nejman uses good head movement to avoid it. Yazawa waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nejman.

Yazawa drops Nejman with a beautiful combination! Nejman stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Yazawa is looking for the KO!
Nejman is rocked! Takeda Yazawa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yazawa throws a pinpoint strike between Nejman's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Nejman crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Yazawa scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Takeda Yazawa! A relieved looking Takeda Yazawa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Lesnoe tenderised Kingpin's leg. Kingpin is trying to keep his angry face on. Lesnoe throws a right and a left that Kingpin avoids nicely. Lesnoe tries for a takedown but Kingpin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lesnoe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kingpin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kingpin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kingpin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lesnoe's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kingpin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lesnoe defends it well. Kingpin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Kingpin works his way back into a safe position though. Lesnoe is pulling down on Kingpin's head. It's preventing any offense from Kingpin, at least for the moment. Lesnoe can't keep his opponent in guard - Kingpin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kingpin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lesnoe. Kingpin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lesnoe has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lesnoe! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kingpin wants to sweep here but Lesnoe controlling him for the moment. Lesnoe trying to control the position from guard on top but Kingpin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Byob Kingpin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Kingpin looking for a takedown. Kingpin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lesnoe walks away with a smile on his face. Kingpin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kingpin leaves Lesnoe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Uebishe Lesnoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kingpin swats away the attempt to clinch by Lesnoe. Lesnoe moves into the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Lesnoe - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kingpin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lesnoe. Lesnoe delivers a nice body kick.

Kingpin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lesnoe after a bit of a struggle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kingpin tries to pull guard but Lesnoe forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Uebishe Lesnoe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Byob Kingpin.

Kingpin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A short left from Lesnoe. Lesnoe is stalling here.
Kingpin pulls guard. Kingpin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kingpin wants to sweep but no luck. Lesnoe is in close to Kingpin's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lesnoe sitting in guard here, content to control.

Kingpin keeping moving, preventing Lesnoe from controlling successfully. Lesnoe preventing the sweep. Kingpin keeps trying to improve his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lesnoe tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingpin is retaining full guard.
