The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Youngshire fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chalidow avoids it really well and circles away. Youngshire looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Chalidow pushes Youngshire up against the cage in a clinch. Chalidow decides to pull guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chalidow has his feet on Youngshire's thighs here. He's pushed Youngshire off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Youngshire screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dietrich regains guard.

Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jones wants to pass the guard but Dietrich is keeping the position. Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Maverick Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground. Dietrich shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ken Dietrich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dietrich. Maverick Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Dietrich. Jones clinches up with Dietrich and pushes him back against the cage. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bendo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nixon to score an easy takedown into full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Nixon is looking to work some ground and pound but Bendo has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nixon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nixon trying to control but Bendo is working from the bottom. Nixon with a flurry of punches that miss. Bendo pulls Nixon in to control the position. Nixon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nixon forces his way into half guard. Bendo is trying to stand back up but Nixon is controlling him

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez throws a leg kick and Pereira counters with a thumping low kick. Rodriguez throws a sloppy head kick and Pereira moves into the clinch. Pereira taking a breather. Rodriguez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pereira walks away with a smile on his face. Rodriguez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rodriguez misses with a double jab
and Pereira counters with a thumping low kick. Rodriguez lands a nice looking body shot.

Pereira has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rodriguez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pereira has tightened it up now! Rodriguez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Beucher was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Trussell stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Beucher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Trussell but Trussell pushes him off and we're back to square one. Trussell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Beucher under the eye. Beucher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trussell paws at him with a jab and circles away. Beucher moves out of range of the body kick. Trussell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Trussell trying to control the position here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trussell can do anything to dispel that myth. Beucher postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Trussell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beucher throwing strikes from guard but Trussell blocks nicely. Trussell pulls Beucher in close to his closed guard and prevents Beucher from doing any damage or advancing position. Trussell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beucher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Duncan Trussell hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Beucher thows a body shot but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Trussell on the wrong end of a nice hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Beucher will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Beucher has a takedown stuffed. Trussell lands a really nice looking cross but Beucher seems unphased.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Trussell pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Beucher fails in his attempt to clinch. Trussell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Trussell throws a nice head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beucher misses with a wild body shot. Beucher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trussell's waist but Trussell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beucher off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Beucher counters with a nice uppercut. Trussell throws a right and a left that both miss. Beucher keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Beucher tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Trussell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Trussell misses with a looping right. Beucher tries to clinch there but Trussell circles away.

and Trussell counters with a nice uppercut. Trussell scores with a spinning back kick! Trussell throws an off balance right hand
and Trussell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This has been an exciting period of action! Trussell throws a shot from downtown. Beucher moves away and avoids it. Trussell connects with a crisp jab. Trussell looks for the body kick but Beucher saw that one coming. Trussell displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Beucher is rocked! Trussell looks to throw the jab but Beucher is out of range. Oh Beucher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Trussell throws a jab when Beucher was well out of range. Beucher avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Trussell throws a series of punches but Beucher avoids them all with ease. Beucher displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trussell throws out the jab. Beucher ducks under a wild hook from Trussell. Nice defenses there by Beucher. Beucher moves away from the strike by Trussell. Trussell slips a jab from Beucher. Some wild striking there from Trussell.
Trussell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Beucher throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Trussell looks to land a left hand but Beucher moved out of range nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beucher uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Trussell. Trussell circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Beucher drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Trussell follows Beucher to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
