7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Atkin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Liddel with that takedown attempt. Liddel throws a head kick but Atkin moves out of range.

Atkin sends Liddel crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Atkin is motioning to the referee to let Liddel up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Atkin moves into the clinch. Atkin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Atkin lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Liddel or not. Atkin breaks the clinch.

Atkin lands an elbow inside that Liddel shrugs off. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Atkin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Atkin with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Liddel is trying to break free. Atkin stalling against the cage.
Liddel looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Atkin keeps control of Liddel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Liddel throws a punch but it's blocked by Atkin. This has been an exciting period of action! A frustrated look appears on Liddel's face as he tries to break the clinch. Nice elbow from Atkin. Liddel tries to break the clinch but Atkin is controlling the position. Atkin with a knee to the head.
Liddel is rocked! A nice right hand lands inside from Liddel. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Atkin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Liddel is defending well for now. Atkin lands an elbow just above Liddel 's eye. A short uppercut from Atkin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Atkin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chuck Liddel's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Liddel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Liddel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Atkin is looking for a sweep. Atkin wants to control but Liddel postures up. Atkin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liddel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Liddel looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Atkin is avoiding damage well.

It looks like Lee Atkin has been cut. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Atkin can do anything to dispel that myth. Liddel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Atkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liddel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Liddel is putting a hurting on Atkin here, landing some big shots from side control.

Liddel trying to control the action but Atkin is working from the bottom. Liddel moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Liddel works to advance to full mount. Atkin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Liddel connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Liddel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dredd fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dredd moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Dredd throws a right and a left that both miss. Dredd fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hickock on the side of the head. Hickock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dredd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hickock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dredd sprawls well. Dredd wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hickock gets slowly back to his feet. Hickock is looking to clinch but Dredd is avoiding it.
Hickock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dredd did well to prevent Hickock getting side control. Dredd is looking to escape. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hickock with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dredd kicks off Hickock and gets to his feet. Dredd tries to close the distance and clinch but Hickock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hickock shoots in looking for a takedown. Dredd tries to sprawl out of it but Hickock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dredd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dredd throws a right hand that misses
and Hickock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice defenses there by Hickock. Hickock fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Eugene Hickock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hickock takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hickock tries to clinch but Dredd moves away and Dredd counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hickock won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dredd goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hickock rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dredd's guard! Nice work there by Hickock! Hickock won't allow Dredd to get back to his feet. Hickock passes Dredd's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dredd is looking to escape. Hickock is keen to just control but Dredd is a slippery customer. Dredd pushes Hickock off and gets back to his feet. Dredd lands with a kick to the temple. Hickock shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Dredd stuffs the takedown attempt from Hickock. Hickock gets slowly back to his feet. Hickock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hickock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dredd defends it nicely. Dredd fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dredd lands a nice hook to Hickock's body. Hickock takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dredd throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Hickock moves into the clinch. Hickock misses with a short punch on the inside. Hickock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dredd throws a leg kick but Hickock moved away. Dredd throws a leg kick but Hickock moved away. A big left from Dredd misses. Dredd uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hickock has time to react. A combination from Dredd does no damage. Hickock avoids the body shot from Dredd.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hickock. Dredd lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hickock doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dredd counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big right from Dredd misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hickock fails to land the takedown. Dredd shoots in for a takedown but Hickock shows good takedown defense. Dredd throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Dredd misses with an uppercut. Hickock saw that one coming. Hickock tries to clinch but Dredd moves out of range. Hickock keeps the fight on the outside. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dredd looks to score with a jab to the body but Hickock is just out of range. Hickock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dredd counters with a single leg into guard. Hickock didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Goldsmith will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bobby Tupper V's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tupper V changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goldsmith tries to avoid it but Tupper V manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goldsmith to the ground. Goldsmith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Goldsmith feints and as Tupper V raises his hands in defense, Goldsmith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Goldsmith prevents Tupper V from getting back to his feet. Tupper V has a closed guard, preventing Goldsmith from standing up. Tupper V bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goldsmith's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goldsmith controlling the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tupper V wants to get up but he can't break Goldsmith's closed guard. It looks like Alberto Del Rio has been cut. Del Rio closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reed's guard. Del Rio's corner is telling him to maintain position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnettov has closed the distance and engaged Akiyama in a clinch.
Akiyama is trying to trip Barnettov. He has hold of a leg but Barnettov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Akiyama persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Barnettov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Akiyama has his hands clasped together but Barnettov extends and breaks Akiyama's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Barnettov.

He's persisting with it as Daiz sprawls well. Daiz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Daiz wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position.
