The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zemaitis wants to clinch up but Tanaka keeps it at a distance.
Zemaitis lands a head kick. Tanaka smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Zemaitis throws a leg kick which misses Tanaka's front leg but catches the back leg as Tanaka tries to avoid it.
Tanaka misses with a low kick.
Zemaitis fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Tanaka misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zemaitis.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Zemaitis - that will leave a mark!
Zemaitis wants to clinch.
Zemaitis works over Tanaka's head and body with a nice combination.
Tanaka stalks Zemaitis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zemaitis's face. Zemaitis staggers backwards, shaken.
Tanaka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Larry Tanaka.
Well Zemaitis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Duarte is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
BOOM! Patrelli connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Vincent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boyce Luke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyce Luke struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Luke working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Vincent has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Luke is working away from the top position though.
