The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paulson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Skrylvia napping and manages to drive through into side control! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Skrylvia can't do much from the bottom here. Paulson decides to stand back up. Skrylvia is looking to clinch but Paulson is avoiding it.
Skrylvia throws a head kick but Paulson moves out of range.
Paulson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Skrylvia has one foot on Paulson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Skrylvia shoots in and drives through. Paulson sprawls well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Paulson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Skrylvia is working Paulson over against the cage. Paulson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Paulson looks winded! Skrylvia working for a triangle but Paulson defends it easily.

Paulson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Skrylvia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Skrylvia manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Paulson is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Skrylvia as he works his way to full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action! Skrylvia throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Paulson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Skrylvia throws some wild stikes that Paulson manages to avoid easily.
Skrylvia jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Paulson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Skrylvia in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Skrylvia tries to move to mount but Paulson blocks the move with his legs. Paulson parries the strikes from Skrylvia easily there. Skrylvia is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Paulson to escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paulson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Skrylvia tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Paulson is in Skrylvia's guard. Paulson trying to control but Skrylvia is working from the bottom. Skrylvia manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Skrylvia controlling the action here for a moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Skrylvia won't allow Paulson to sweep him here.

We're going to have a standup here because Chim Skrylvia wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Paulson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Skrylvia pushes Paulson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Paulson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Paulson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Skrylvia scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Skrylvia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Paulson to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Skrylvia is trying to control the position from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Paulson stops Skrylvia from standing up.

Boyd swats away the attempt to clinch by Floyd. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boyd. Boyd fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Floyd checks it well. Demetrius Floyd seems to be getting the better of the standup. Floyd jabs Boyd to the body, keeping him at a distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oooooh!!! Floyd has knocked Boyd down with a huge combo! Floyd steps away and waves a wobbly Boyd back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Oh Boyd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Woodrow Huckleberry Tiberius Boyd has been cut. Demetrius Floyd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A big right followed by a crushing left from Floyd knocks Boyd out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Moai's corner calls for a 1-2. Moai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Eye throws a lazy head kick and Moai counters with a big head kick but Eye shrugs it off. Eye closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Moai quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Eye is just content to waste time from the top position. Moai takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Eye looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Let's hope that Eye has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Moai looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Moai dips to his left and cracks Eye with an uppercut! Moai wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Eye takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Eye closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moai circles away. Moai throws a nice outside leg kick. Eye looks winded! Moai shoots in and drives through. Eye sprawls well. Eye closes the distance and clinches up with Moai, looking for a takedown. Eye pushes Moai against the cage but Moai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Moai with a jab. Dummy is trying to drag Prefect to the mat but Prefect just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dummy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Prefect avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Prefect is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Prefect as Dummy tries to tie him up. Dummy avoiding damage as Prefect throws knees to the body.

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Prefect. Prefect would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Dummy is working an open guard so Prefect takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dummy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
