Exlax tries to clinch up but Maruyama circles away and keeps his distance.

Exlax tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Maruyama defends well and Exlax ends up having to push Maruyama into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Maruyama has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Exlax is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maruyama.

Exlax is working to tighten is grip on Maruyama's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Maruyama has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Exlax is really squeezing tight and eventually Maruyama passes out! Exlax breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muno swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Muno throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trail fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Muno checks it well.
Muno goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Muno tries to work over Trail's front leg with a kick but Trail checks it.
A right-left combo lands from Muno.

It looks like Cannondale Trail has been cut.
Trail thumps Muno with a low kick.
Evil Muno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muno blocks a leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Trail.
Trail blocks a low kick nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Muno loads up on a big right hand but Trail slips the punch.

Trail fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Muno.

Muno lands a nice hook to Trail's body. Trail takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Trail closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Trail takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Muno connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Trail gets tackled into the cage by Muno. Muno maintains the clinch.
Trail lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Muno is trying to push Trail away but Trail has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Muno tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Trail just stands there and leans against the cage.

Trail lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Muno looks to score with a jab to the body but Trail is just out of range.
Muno throws out a leg kick but Trail moves out of range and Muno only half commits.
Trail tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Muno misses with an attempted mid kick.

Muno is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Trail checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Muno lands a lovely overhand right.
Muno tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trail was well out of range. Poor timing from Muno.
Muno tests Trail's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Trail ducks under a wild hook from Muno.
Muno is looking to wear down Trail with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Muno throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Muno misses with a wild body shot.
Trail throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Muno fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Trail looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trail on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Trail throws a leg kick but Muno sees it coming and moves out of range.

Trail gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That has opened up Cannondale Trail's cut even more.
Muno throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Muno buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Trail is breathing heavily.
Muno lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Trail on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Muno lands a nice leg kick that just misses Trail's sensitive parts.
Muno scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Trail doesn't seem bothered though.
Nice uppercut lands for Muno. That snapped Trail's head back.

Muno cracks Trail with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Muno has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Trail to stand back up!

Trail tries to work over Muno's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Trail misses with a punch on the inside.
Muno misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Trail can't find room to land a body shot as Muno controls the action.
A right handed body shot lands from Muno.
A head punch on the inside from Muno fails to land.
A short body shot lands from Muno as the two fighters clinch.
Muno wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Trail misses with a hook to the ribs.
Trail tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Muno's elbow.
Trail goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Trail displaying some good clinch control by pressing Muno up against the cage.

Muno connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Muno keeps Trail at a distance using the push kick.
Trail takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Muno lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Trail has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Trail and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Trail has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Muno.

Oooooh!!! Muno has knocked Trail down with a huge combo! Muno steps away and waves a wobbly Trail back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Trail is rocked!
Muno lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Trail - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Muno!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Evil Muno!
Evil Muno retains his heavyweight title!
An out of breath Evil Muno thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
