2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Studd! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brasnof moves out of range of the strikes. Studd shoots in looking for a takedown but Brasnof manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Studd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Studd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Brasnof counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Jon Studd has been cut. Studd swings widly with a right hand
enabling Brasnof to counter with a crisp jab. Jon Studd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brasnof throws a poor cross that misses
and Studd counters with a lovely shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Studd throws out a leg kick but Brasnof moves out of range and Studd only half commits. Brasnof fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Brasnof avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Studd's coach down at Red Light MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Studd's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Studd misses with an uppercut
and Brasnof counters with a series of strikes. Studd will be more careful next time no doubt. Brasnof on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Studd loads up on a big right hand but Brasnof slips the punch. Oh, that's a big right hand from Brasnof and Studd goes tumbling to the canvas! Brasnof follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Studd is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brasnof sitting and controlling from the half guard. Studd is still in real trouble! Can Brasnof finish him? Studd trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

We're going to have a standup here because Nicolai Brasnof wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Studd swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brasnof connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Studd looks to score with a jab to the body but Brasnof is just out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Studd rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brasnof counters with a straight right hand. Studd misses with a double jab
and Brasnof counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Brasnof throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Studd stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Brasnof blocks a jab. Studd throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Brasnof makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Studd looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Studd misses with a shot to the body and Brasnof counters with a big right hand! Oh Studd is in trouble here! Brasnof follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Gaarlandt is looking to finish but Rua is intelligently defending himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rua is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gaarlandt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rua wants to stand up but Gaarlandt is controlling him. The fighters are working up against the cage. Rua manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Rua misses with a hook from the clinch. Rua tries to land knees in the clinch but Gaarlandt avoids the damage to the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rua obliges. Rua misses with an elbow over the top. Javans thuds a left hand into Toller's body. Javans feints with a jab and clips Toller right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Toller is sent crashing into the canvas and Javans leaps in for the kill! Toller tries to get to his feet but Javans is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nickoson throws a predictable looking body shot
and Cao counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Anthony Nickoson has been cut. Anthony Nickoson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cao has closed the distance and engaged Nickoson in a clinch.
