Carioca fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gurgel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gurgel, as that shot connected.
Carioca looks to land a combination but Gurgel avoids it well.
Carioca looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Well Gurgel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

This has been an exciting period of action!
