The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryouji closes the distance and pushes Teague back into the cage.

Ryouji creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Teague's defenses.
Teague jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ryouji walks away with a smile on his face. Teague gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nakajima Ryouji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryouji rushes Teague and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ryouji tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Teague avoids it.

Teague is trying to pull guard but Ryouji turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Teague is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryouji finish him?
A frustrated look appears on Teague's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Ryouji lands an elbow that stopped Teague in his tracks for a moment.

The cut above Jeff Teague's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Teague should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Clinched against the cage, Ryouji lands a big elbow that drops Teague! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Teague is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nakajima Ryouji!
After winning the bout, Nakajima Ryouji thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Selvas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Horford circles away quickly and effectively.
Horford misses with a hook. Selvas ducked under it nicely.
Selvas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Horford looks to land a combination but Selvas avoids it well.
Selvas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Horford.
Horford sizes up Selvas with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Selvas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Horford.
Horford misses the shot to the body.
Selvas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Horford looks to throw the jab but Selvas is out of range.
Horford throws a hook to the side of Selvas's head but Selvas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Al Horford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horford misses with a few strikes there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Horford lands with an uppercut that bounces Selvas off the cage and back into range.
Horford throws out a loose jab but Selvas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Horford will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Al Horford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horford scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Selvas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Horford napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Selvas creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Horford takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Selvas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horford on the ground.

Selvas is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Horford's shoulder. That is not cool.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Horford clobbers Selvas with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Al Horford will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Selvas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Horford throws out the jab.
Horford looks to land a right hand but Selvas moved out of range.
Al Horford seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Horford checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Selvas slips a straight right by Horford.
Horford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horford might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Horford drops Selvas with a beautiful combination! Selvas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Horford is looking for the KO!

It looks like Nazario Selvas has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut lands for Horford. That snapped Selvas's head back.

Selvas drops his hands momentarily. Horford doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Selvas staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Selvas doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
