A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Terry Shaw was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooh!!! Red Gym has knocked Shaw down with a huge combo! Red Gym steps away and waves a wobbly Shaw back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Terry Shaw has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Red Gym connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Shaw to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Red Gym!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Houston throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Beckford counters with a straight right hand. Beckford stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Beckford wants it to stay on the feet. Houston shoots in but no luck this time. Nice body punch from Beckford. Houston takes a body punch but keeps moving. Houston throws a series of strikes that have Beckford backpedaling.
It looks like Jermaine Beckford has been cut. Houston misses with a hook to the body
and Beckford counters with a right hand to the body. Houston fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Houston. That's going to take a lot out of him. Houston is breathing heavily. Beckford dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Houston misses with a wild body shot. Beckford scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Houston throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Beckford counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Houston tries to move into range but Beckford moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Nice uppercut lands for Beckford. That snapped Houston's head back.
Beckford scores with a nice head shot. Beckford changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Beckford cracks Houston with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Beckford has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Houston to stand back up!

Beckford works Houston's body with a nice hook. Beckford lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Beckford scores with a shot to the body.
Mike Houston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Houston takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Oh Houston is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Houston circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Beckford. Houston falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Beckford!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Moraes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Willow with a jab. Willow dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moraes. That did some damage! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moraes gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Willow gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Moraes is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ziggy Willow decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Down thows a body shot but no joy. Spyros moves out of range as Down strikes. Down throws a lazy uppercut
and Spyros makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Down lands with an overhand left. Spyros uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Down. Spyros tries to close the distance and clinch up but Down swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spyros has a takedown stuffed. A telegraphed right hand from Down misses the target. Good standup being displayed there by Down as he connects with a hook. Down looks to throw the jab but Spyros is out of range. Down misses with a looping left. A cross from Down lands. Down is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Down swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Spyros. Spyros avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A shot to the liver by Down. Beautiful body shot. Down is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Down misses with a left hand and Spyros counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Spyros slips a straight right by Down. Down throws a shot from downtown. Spyros moves away and avoids it. The crowd cheers as Down lands an impressive looking overhand right. Spyros doesn't seem phased though. Spyros tries to clinch up but Down circles away and keeps his distance. Spyros uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Down.
Down scores with a jab to the head.
Spyros has a takedown stuffed. Down scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kendrik Down seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spyros fails to land the takedown. Kendrik Down has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Spyros. Spyros will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Down with a nice cross. Down throws a body punch but Spyros moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spyros defending well as Down loads up on a big left hand. Down throws a looping overhand right but Spyros ducks down to avoid it. Spyros moves out of range of the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Down. Spyros does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Down misses the target. A telegraphed right hand from Down misses the target. Spyros misses with a takedown attempt and Down counters with a nice uppercut. Spyros shoots in looking for a takedown. Down tries to sprawl out of it but Spyros keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Down manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Spyros's coach down at Build Up Crossfit was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spyros's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Down throws a predictable looking body shot
and Spyros counters with a nice low kick that buckles Down's knee momentarily. Down tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spyros was well out of range. Poor timing from Down. Spyros keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Down scores with a sloppy right hand. Spyros should have avoided that one. Spyros uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Down. Down scores with a body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Spyros 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Down tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spyros was well out of range. Poor timing from Down. Nice takedown defense from Down. No joy for Spyros on that attempt. The fighters circle momentarily. Down darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Spyros takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Down lands with a straight right. Spyros didn't see that one coming. Down looks to score with a jab to the body but Spyros is just out of range. Spyros takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Down swings for the body but Spyros moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Down throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Spyros doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Down misses with an uppercut. Spyros saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kendrik Down dominated that round. That's time! Down's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Down with a hook. Spyros is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Down scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Down tests Spyros's chin there with a solid looking shot. Down throws a shot from downtown. Spyros moves away and avoids it. Down lands with a shot to the body. Spyros shoots in looking for a takedown but Down manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spyros's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Spyros uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Down. Spyros gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Down connects with a good right hand that stumbles Spyros. Spyros circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Down is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Down throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spyros dives in and grabs Down's left leg, looking for a takedown. Down pushes down on Spyros's head and hops out. Down takes a swing at Spyros's ribcage but misses. Spyros takes a jab right on the kisser.
Down thuds a left hand into Spyros's body. Down throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spyros counters with a big head kick but Down shrugs it off. Spyros showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Down.
Spyros shoots in looking for a takedown but Down manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spyros's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kendrik Down has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Spyros.

Down bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Down cracks Spyros with a big elbow. Spyros defending against the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spyros parries the strikes from Down easily there. Down is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Spyros to escape.
Spyros is breathing heavily. Spyros is trying to control Down's posture but Down avoids it. Down will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Spyros is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Down tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Down staying calm. Down tries to move to mount but Spyros blocks the move with his legs. You can see the frustration on Spyros's face as Down controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Down creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Spyros sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Spyros defending against the ground and pound. Spyros is working to avoid the ground and pound but Down connects with a decent elbow. Down remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Down is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Spyros can do to turn this around? The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Down lands a nice forearm strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kendrik Down dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Down tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spyros was well out of range. Poor timing from Down. Kendrik Down is winning the standup battle so far. Spyros fails with a takedown attempt. Down scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Spyros walks into a jab. Spyros has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. A swing and a miss from Down. Down swings for the body but Spyros moves out of range.
Down missing with a left hand there. Spyros was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Spyros is trying desperately to land a takedown but Down is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Spyros. Down lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Spyros at a distance.

and Spyros finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Spyros gets caught napping as Down dives in and scores a takedown. Spyros manages to retain guard. Down postures up in Spyros's guard and throws a big left but Spyros blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Down working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Down throws a big right hand that misses. Spyros not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Spyros takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Down scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Down in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Down has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Down content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Down content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Down working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Spyros's head. Down throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Down stands and steps away. Spyros gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Spyros uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Down. Down punishes Spyros's body with a nice straight punch. Down lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Down fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Down checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Spyros slips under a jab. Spyros takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Spyros takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Down throws a nice looking combination but Spyros bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Spyros takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Down comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Down connects with a body shot that sends Spyros's belly button to the back. Spyros on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Down connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Spyros takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Down scores with a punch to the head. Chris Spyros has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kendrik Down is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spyros gets caught napping as Down dives in and scores a takedown. Spyros manages to retain guard. Down is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Kendrik Down showed his dominance in that final round. Well Down has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Barkley throws a right hand that Kira ducks under and follows up with a left that Kira also avoids with ease. Kira tries to clinch up and Barkley counters with a series of strikes. Kira will be more careful next time no doubt. Kira closes the distance but Barkley moves to the side and Barkley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kira is rocked! Barkley shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Kira is on queer street and Barkley is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duendes clinches with his opponent.
