The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kavelin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dickinson avoids the head kick by Kavelin.
Dickinson shoots in and drives through. Kavelin sprawls well.
Kavelin thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dickinson if he has to take too many more of those.
Dickinson wants to clinch
and Kavelin counters with a head kick.
Kavelin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dickinson closes the distance looking to clinch
and Kavelin counters with a good low kick that Dickinson was not able to check.
Kavelin throws the left hand but Dickinson avoids the punch easily.
Dickinson shoots in for a double leg but Kavelin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kavelin avoids a wild elbow strike from Dickinson.
Dickinson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kavelin regains guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dickinson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kavelin has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dickinson doesn't defend quickly enough and Kavelin has managed to lock this one up! Can Dickinson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kavelin on a fantastic submission victory.
