The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurdle blocks a low kick nicely. Nice body kick there by Santiago. Hurdle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hurdle scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Alfonso Santiago has been cut. Hurdle moves into the clinch. Santiago stalls. Santiago lands an elbow just above Hurdle 's eye.
It looks like Devin Hurdle has been cut. Santiago tries to break free but Hurdle pushes him back against the cage. Hurdle has picked Santiago up - he's going for a ride! Hurdle dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hurdle tries to pass to full mount but Santiago defends it. Hurdle trying to control from Santiago's half guard. Santiago has other ideas though and has regained full guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hurdle keeping moving, preventing Santiago from controlling successfully. Hurdle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hurdle tries to get out of the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Santiago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Santiago wants to clinch. Santiago jabs Hurdle right on the nose. Hurdle blinks but takes it well. Santiago shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Santiago showed some decent athleticism there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hurdle is concentrating on defense, preventing Santiago from advancing position.

Hurdle tries to bum rush Santiago with a series of wild strikes but Santiago uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Santiago closes the distance and clinches up with Hurdle, looking for a takedown. Santiago pushes Hurdle against the cage but Hurdle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch but Hurdle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Santiago misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Santiago throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hurdle escapes and throws Santiago's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hurdle has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Santiago avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hurdle. Hurdle slows the pace down. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hurdle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santiago keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurdle has control of an arm but Santiago manages to advance to Hurdle's back! Hurdle showing good submission defense here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Santiago has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hurdle has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Arschloch . Arschloch gets slowly back to his feet. A bone on bone clash there as Arschloch blocks the leg kick.
Johnson leaves Arschloch with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Du Arschloch . That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson is looking to score with low kicks. Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Arschloch . Arschloch gets slowly back to his feet. Arschloch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Arschloch somewhat. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Johnson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Arschloch has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Arschloch and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Johnson wants to slow Arschloch down by chopping away at his legs. Some bone on bone action there as Arschloch checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Arschloch shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Arschloch slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arschloch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Arschloch seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Du Arschloch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arschloch shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Arschloch dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson's guard. Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Arschloch stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Johnson is looking to stand up but Arschloch isn't so interested in that idea. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Arschloch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Trade. No joy for Suzuki on that attempt. Trade scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown but Trade shows good takedown defense. Trade feints and then cracks Suzuki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Suzuki down. Trade connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Suzuki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Suzuki on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Trade. Trade obviously looking to wear him down.
Suzuki darts in looking for a takedown but Trade gets double underhooks and turns Suzuki into the cage. Jack Trade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Suzuki. Trade lands a knee to the head.

Suzuki working for a guillotine from mount but Trade is in no mood to give up. Suzuki is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Trade has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Goring comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Jacobs falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Jacobs was out before he hit the floor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thafa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reaper defends it nicely. No luck with that takedown attempt from Thafa. Reaper throws a quick inside leg kick. Reaper lands a big head kick that sends Thafa tumbling to the mat! Reaper takes a step backwards and waves Thafa back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Thafa is rocked!
It looks like Mee Thafa has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slow jab from Reaper misses its intended target. Reaper scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Reaper lands a big head kick that sends Thafa tumbling to the mat! Reaper takes a step backwards and waves Thafa back to his feet - he wants the finish! Thafa is still on wobbly legs! Can Reaper finish him? Thafa dives in and grabs Reaper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reaper pushes down on Thafa's head and hops out. Grim Reaper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mee Thafa. Thafa looks winded! Thafa on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Reaper. Reaper obviously looking to wear him down.
Reaper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Thafa with a lazy takedown attempt and Reaper counters with a crisp right that sends Thafa to the canvas! Reaper follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stenner misses with a takedown and Schankelies counters with a lovely shot to the body. Schankelies throws a body punch but Stenner moves out of range. Stenner feints and as Schankelies raises his hands in defense, Stenner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Stenner trying to control but Schankelies is working from the bottom. Schankelies is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stenner defends well. Stenner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stenner drops back looking for a leg! Schankelies is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Schankelies manages to kick Stenner off! Stenner jumps back into Schankelies 's guard.
