0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Umba Matumba! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matumba fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dias on the side of the head. Dias shoots for a takedown but Matumba saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown by Dias or perhaps it was just good defense by Matumba which made him look bad. Dias shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dias is stalling here. Matumba is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dias seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Matumba has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. You can see the frustration on Dias's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matumba stands up and beckons Dias to his feet. Matumba drops Dias with a beautiful combination! Dias stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Matumba is looking for the KO!

It looks like Rafa Dias has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! OH! Dias has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Matumba smells blood and charges in for the finish! Matumba unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Dias sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mamed gets a double leg takedown into Nash's guard. Mamed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mamed passes Nash's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nash is looking to improve his position.
Mamed seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mamed has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Mamed frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mamed controlling the position easily from mount. Mamed lands a heavy elbow. Mamed lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mamed avoids the attempt from Nash to control. Mamed controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mamed with a couple of short strikes. Mamed looking to control and managing it successfully. Nash tries to control the position but Mamed now has his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mamed slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Mamed lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rose misses with a takedown attempt - Punk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rose throws a low kick but it's checked well by Punk. Rose misses with a few strikes there.
Rose wants to clinch. Rose buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rose closes the distance and pushes Punk back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose trying to control the position but instead, Punk has worked for underhooks and has pushed Rose into the cage. Rose has had enough of the clinch but Punk keeps him there for the moment. Rose avoiding damage.
Rose wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rose looking to throw knees to the head but Punk is blocking nicely.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Rose is trying to keep Punk in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up. CJ Rose wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rose throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose throws a leg kick but Punk checks it. Rose misses with a body kick. Punk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rose attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Rose explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Rose wants to clinch up but Punk keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punk keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Rose shoots in and drives through. Punk sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Rose. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rose closes the distance and clinches up with Punk, looking for a takedown. Rose pushes Punk against the cage but Punk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rose shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Punk counters with a takedown into side control. Punk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Punk tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Rose dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rose is looking to chop away at Punk's legs. A chopping leg kick lands by Rose. Rose goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rose is looking to slow Punk down with leg kicks. Rose dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose lands a nice looking kick to the body. Punk takes a step back to recover. CJ Rose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rose throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Punk. Rose with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rose looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Punk walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rose. CJ Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rose shoots and misses and Punk counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rose is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Punk prevents Rose from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose punching from the bottom.
Rose is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Punk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Punk's back! Punk rolls, trying to escape but Rose keeps control of the position.
Punk is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Rose misses with a low kick as Punk jumps back. Rose darts in looking for a takedown but Punk gets double underhooks and turns Rose into the cage. Rose tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Rose pulls guard. Rose is looking to sweep but instead, Punk has passed into half guard.
Punk with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Rose trying to hold on to Punk's head to control him but Punk postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose regains full guard. Nicely done. Rose wants to get back to his feet but Punk is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punk seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We're going to have a standup here because CJ Rose wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Punk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rose goes for a double leg but Punk avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Punk continues to drive forward.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Punk.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Rose. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rose is trying to break free. Punk jumps guard but Rose stands there with Punk around his waist. Punk gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

CJ Rose is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Punk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rose uses from the top position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakki fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gordon is out of range. Gordon is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gordon is looking to slow Nakki down with leg kicks. Gordon throws the left hand but Nakki avoids the punch easily. Nakki looks to score with a jab to the body but Gordon is just out of range. Nakki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gordon as he avoids it easily. Nakki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gordon circles away quickly and effectively. Nakki misses with a low kick as Gordon jumps back. Gordon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nakki.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nakki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nakki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gordon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nakki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gordon keeping moving, preventing Nakki from controlling successfully. Gordon pulls Nakki in close to prevent any damage. Nakki trying to control the position from guard on top but Gordon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gordon controlling the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nakki throws a leg kick and Gordon counters with a leg kick. Gordon fails in his attempt to clinch. Gordon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Nakki misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakki drives through with a takedown into Gordon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. This has been an exciting period of action! Nakki tries to free his leg and advance position but Gordon is retaining full guard. Gordon trying to control the position.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Nakki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gordon is trying to stand up here but Nakki is controlling him well. Nakki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gordon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nakki is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Gordon as he works his way to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nakki working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Gordon looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Nakki! Submission of the night perhaps?

Aruba gets control of Caparzo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Aruba will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Aruba is looking to cinch up a triangle. Caparzo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Aruba's body to avoid the submission. Aruba has instead reached around Caparzo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aruba arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Henderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Pozar. Pozar gets slowly back to his feet. Brock Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pozar Pozar. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pozar. Henderson gets a double leg takedown into Pozar's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Henderson scoring with punches to the head and body. Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Henderson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Henderson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clinton has his takedown stuffed and Johnson Jr counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Clinton! Clinton is trying to control Johnson Jr's posture but Johnson Jr avoids it. Johnson Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clinton keeps working. Clinton tries to bench press Johnson Jr off him but Johnson Jr keeps the position. Johnson Jr is trying to get an arm triangle but Clinton is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clinton can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clinton is looking to reverse the position. Johnson Jr trying to control the action but Clinton is working from the bottom. Clinton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson Jr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson Jr decides to take the fight back to the feet. Clinton misses with a takedown attempt and Johnson Jr counters with a single leg into guard. Clinton didn't expect that. Clinton has a closed guard, preventing Johnson Jr from standing up. Clinton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson Jr is just riding it out for now. Clinton eventually gives up the hold. Clinton trying to control the action but Johnson Jr is working from the bottom. Clinton is stalling here. Johnson Jr is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Clinton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Johnson Jr has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Clinton is looking for a sweep.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toepfer closes the distance and clinches up with Wilson, looking for a takedown. Toepfer pushes Wilson against the cage but Wilson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Toepfer throws a hook to the side of Wilson's head but Wilson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Toepfer rushes Wilson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Toepfer pulls guard successfully.
Wilson won't allow Toepfer to sweep him here. Toepfer is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Paul Toepfer. Toepfer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilson as he jumps to the side. Toepfer shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Toepfer. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Toepfer. Toepfer fails with the takedown. Toepfer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Toepfer throws a low kick, looking for Wilson's leg but Wilson calmly moves out of range. Toepfer dives in and grabs Wilson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wilson pushes down on Toepfer's head and hops out. Toepfer shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wilson slaps away a takedown attempt from Toepfer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Toepfer dodges the punch combination from Wilson.

Toepfer feints and as Wilson raises his hands in defense, Toepfer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Toepfer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Toepfer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wilson is trying to control the position but Toepfer postures up. He's pushing on Wilson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Toepfer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Wilson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toepfer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilson's back! Wilson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Toepfer.

Geist is rocked! Hicks distracts Geist with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Geist is still in real trouble! Can Hicks finish him?

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hicks looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Geist can't hide his disappointment, as Hicks celebrates the victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayweather on the wrong end of a nice hook. Mayweather fails in his attempt to clinch. Kolpakov lands a head shot. Nikolai Kolpakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kolpakov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mayweather moves away. Mayweather throws a series of punches but Kolpakov moves out of range. Mayweather takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kolpakov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mayweather is rocked! Kolpakov loads up on a big right hand but Mayweather slips the punch. Mayweather is still on wobbly legs! Can Kolpakov finish him? Kolpakov misses with a looping right. Kolpakov throws a looping overhand right but Mayweather ducks down to avoid it. Kolpakov connects with a superb combination that knocks Mayweather out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Kolpakov before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Mayweather!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nikolai Kolpakov! Nikolai Kolpakov retains his featherweight title! Floyd Mayweather spoke after the fight, saying 'I just did not perform well you won't see this many time though'.
