2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Las Vegas! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quan throws out a loose jab but Vegas uses good head movement to avoid it. Quan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Quan trying to pass the guard but Vegas defending well. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Vegas has eaten all the pies! Vegas actively working from the bottom here. Vegas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Quan prevents Vegas from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quan controlling the action here. Vegas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Vegas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Vegas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quan defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Quan escapes and throws Vegas's legs to the side, diving into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vegas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Quan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Vegas tries to get to full guard but Quan has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vegas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quan pulls his head out easily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Quan controlling the action here. Vegas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Quan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vegas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quan's guard. Quan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vegas. Quan managing to control the position. Vegas with a flurry of punches that miss. Quan has clasped his hands together around Vegas's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Vegas is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Vegas regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quan prevents Vegas from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quan content to control rather than advance. Vegas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Vegas actively working from the bottom here. Vegas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Quan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vegas on the ground. Vegas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The referee asks Quan politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Quan prefers to stall for the moment though. Vegas tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Las Vegas will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Vegas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Quan but Quan pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vegas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vegas misses with a takedown attempt and Quan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Juan Quan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Las Vegas. Quan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Quan missing with a left hand there. Vegas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Quan has Vegas up against the cage in a clinch.
Vegas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Quan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quan rushes Vegas and presses him up against the cage. Vegas has had enough of the clinch but Quan keeps him there for the moment. Quan is defending well against a takedown attempt. Vegas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Quan just stands there and leans against the cage. Quan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vegas closes the distance and clinches up with Quan, looking for a takedown. Vegas pushes Quan against the cage but Quan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Quan moves into range and clinches up with Vegas. Quan stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Vegas has Quan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Quan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Quan stops a takedown attempt from Vegas.
Vegas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quan has Vegas pressed against the cage.
Vegas can't break the clinch.
Quan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Quan forces Vegas back against the cage and clinches. Vegas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Quan is keeping busy. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Quan showed his dominance in that final round. I think Vegas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
