3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AJ Strey! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Strey. AJ Strey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Minor stuffs the takedown attempt from Strey. Strey gets slowly back to his feet. Strey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Minor but Minor pushes him off and we're back to square one. Morris Minor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AJ Strey. Strey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Minor pinned against the cage. Minor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Strey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Minor is fending him off so far but Strey persists. Nope, Minor circles away and we're back to standing. Minor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Strey paws at him with a jab and circles away. Minor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strey, pushing him back against the cage. Strey stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Strey trying to stall but Minor improves his position.
Minor is pressed up against the cage. Strey has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Minor down to the mat. Minor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Minor with a lazy takedown attempt and Strey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Minor's guard. Strey stands up from guard. Let's bang! Strey fails with the takedown and Minor counters with a good low kick that Strey was not able to check. Strey looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Minor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Strey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Minor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Minor showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Minor tries to free his leg and advance position but Strey is retaining full guard. Strey keeping moving, preventing Minor from controlling successfully. Minor looking to pass the guard. Strey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Minor is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Strey. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Strey's face as Minor controls the position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left and a right from Rojek both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Bob General has been cut. Rojek tries to bum rush General with a series of wild strikes but General uses good footwork to avoid the assault. General slaps away a takedown attempt from Rojek, before circling back to the center of the mat. General misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rojek keeps the fight on the outside. Rojek swats away the attempt to clinch by General. Rojek thuds his right hand into General's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Rojek misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Damme ducks under a wild hook from Ermey. Van Damme looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Van Damme gets a clinch. Van Damme using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ermey has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Van Damme tries to score a body lock takedown but Ermey shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ermey lands a hook to the side of the head. Van Damme misses with a knee strike.
Van Damme has Ermey pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ermey manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
