Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Baskas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Caster! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caster throws a head kick that misses. Caster displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Baskas. Caster closes the distance and clinches. Caster wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Caster manages to pull guard.
Baskas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Caster trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Caster tries to land a sweep but no joy. Caster looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Baskas has picked Caster up and slammed him! Caster can't keep hold of the triangle and Baskas manages to pass to side control! Baskas controls the position from side control. Baskas working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Caster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baskas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Baskas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Caster some visible discomfort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Caster takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baskas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Caster knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Baskas is chipping away with strikes.
Caster takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Caster is wriggling around trying to escape but Baskas has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Caster taps out and Baskas picks up the big win! Great work there by Baskas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piil clinches up against the cage. Timber tries to circle away but Piil has him pinned against the cage. Piil has clasped his hands together around Timber's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Timber is looking for a sweep. Timber is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Piil's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Piil! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Timber has tapped! This one is allllll over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ask displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ry. Ask is looking to clinch. Ry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ask tries to clinch up but Ry circles away and keeps his distance. Ask gets caught flat footed, as Ry shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ask is looking to stand up but Ry isn't so interested in that idea. Ry stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ask tries to clinch and Ry counters with a shoot takedown. Ask fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ry engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ry stands up and waves to Ask to follow him. Ry throws a head kick but Ask moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ask is looking to clinch. Ask lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ry at a distance.

Ry shoots for a double leg takedown but Ask sprawls well. He's pushed Ry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Ry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ask is looking to clinch. Ask tries to clinch up but Ry circles away and keeps his distance. Ask tries to clinch but Ry is having none of it. Ry stuffs the takedown attempt from Ask. Ask gets slowly back to his feet. Ask leaves Ry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ask throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ry tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ask is in Ry's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ask trying to control the position from guard on top but Ry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ry manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ask throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ry's waist but Ry gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ask off to one side. A punch lands to the side of Ry 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fight stays on the outside here - Ask looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ask shoots in and drives through. Ry sprawls well. Ask tries to clinch up. Ask swinging wildly here.
Ask misses with a takedown attempt - Ry sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ask shoots in for a takedown but Ry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ask throws a shot from downtown. Ry moves away and avoids it. Ask fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ask is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mini Ask will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Ask wants to clinch up but Ry keeps it at a distance. Andy Ry is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ask throws a poor cross that misses
and Ry holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ask wants to stall.
Ry digs a right hand underneath Ask's ribcage. Ask let out a lung full of air as it connected. Ask wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ry has him pressed against the cage. Ry is trying to break the clinch but Ask has him pressed against the cage. Ask jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ry walks away with a smile on his face. Ask gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ask will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ry misses with a takedown attempt - Ask sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ask shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ry counters by clinching up. Andy Ry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mini Ask. Ry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ask is looking to clinch but Ry is avoiding it.
Ry gets a double leg takedown into Ask's guard. Ry content to stall in guard here. Ry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ask wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ry manages to pass to side control. Ry is working for a kimura but Ask is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ry perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ask is looking to escape. Ask slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ask looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ry is one step ahead there. Ry decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Mini Ask seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ask to the ground. Ry is now in Ask's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Andy Ry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mini Ask is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Andy Ry showed his dominance in that final round. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Neut does no damage. Neut tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Arko was well out of range. Poor timing from Neut. Arko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Neut scores with a shot to the body.
Arko moves into the clinch. Neut pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arko shoots for a takedown but Neut saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Arko showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Neut.
Neut lands a nice looking body kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Neut. Neut lands with a cross. Arko fails to land with a series of punches.
Neut lands the left hand. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Arko. Neut ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Arko scores with a slapping inside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arko looks for a takedown but Neut sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arko doesn't manage to clinch there - Neut circles away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Neut. Neut throws a sloppy head kick and Arko moves out of range easily. Neut moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Arko takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Balance Neut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Arko showed some decent athleticism there. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Arko wants to control but Neut is keeping him busy. Neut makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Neut feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Arko's calf. Arko slips a jab and a cross from Neut.
Balance Neut is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's going to take a lot out of Frij Arko. Neut tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Arko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Neut wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Neut's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Arko takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Arko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Neut paws at him with a jab and circles away. Neut lands a right hook to the body.
Arko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Neut defends it nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Neut with a hook. Arko on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Balance Neut dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are battling for position here. Neut manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neut wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neut keeping moving, preventing Arko from controlling successfully. Arko pushes down on Neut's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Neut is looking to wear down Arko with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Arko moves out of range as Neut throws a body kick.
Balance Neut is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Arko misses with a body kick. Arko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Balance Neut is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Neut throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Both fighters circling a little - Neut finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Balance Neut is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neut clobbers Arko with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Neut thuds his shin into the meat of Arko's side. Arko with a poor takedown and Neut counters with a thumping low kick. Arko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Balance Neut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frij Arko. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neut uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Arko has time to react. Neut misses with a series of wild punches.
Arko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Neut counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Arko is breathing heavily. Neut keeps Arko at a distance using the push kick. Neut lands a jab to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Neut lands with a kick to the ribs.
Neut displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Arko. Neut throws a right hand that Arko ducks under and follows up with a left that Arko also avoids with ease.
And that's the end of the fight! Balance Neut showed his dominance in that final round. I think Neut has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
