The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damerrs Sr shoots in for a takedown but Tetenbaum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sullivan Damerrs Sr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Damerrs Sr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mendak has gone for a leg lock! Jong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mendak's guard.

Mendak has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mendak.

Mendak is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
