The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Benko in a clinch.
Jackson pushes off an throws an elbow but Benko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Jackson tightens his grip and picks Benko up, before dumping him to the ground. Benko manages to land in guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Benko is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jackson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Benko avoiding damage as Jackson throws knees to the body.
Jackson breaks the clinch.
Benko tries to sprawl but Jackson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jackson decides to stand and escape the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A right-left combo lands from Jackson. Benko gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch. Jackson taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jackson closes the distance and clinches. Benko avoiding damage as Jackson throws knees to the body.

Jackson stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benko shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. Benko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Benko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jackson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Benko is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Benko working the body and head with strikes. Jackson wants to get back to his feet. Benko is putting a hurting on Jackson here, landing some big shots from side control. Jackson tries to escape but Benko is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benko creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Benko working the head and body with strikes. A lull in the action here. Benko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Benko landing a few strikes. Jackson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Benko cracks Jackson with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benko working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Benko is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Jackson tries to escape but Benko is in control. Jackson is breathing heavily. Benko stands up and beckons Jackson to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Benko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard. Benko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Benko trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson wants to stand up but Benko is controlling him. Benko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Benko content to stall in guard here. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson wants to stand up but Benko is controlling him. Benko content to stall in guard here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Benko lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Benko is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Jackson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Benko was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Benko has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jackson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Jackson taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Benko decides to pull guard. Jackson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Benko is proving hard to escape from. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson with a nice head shot there. Benko scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Benko moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice defenses there by Jackson. Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Benko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Benko's guard. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Benko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Benko on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Benko tries to get out of the position. Jackson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Benko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Benko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jackson has momentary wrist control but Benko slips an elbow through the middle.

Benko looking to control the position here, rather than advance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Benko won't allow Jackson to get back to his feet.

Benko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Benko sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Benko moves into full guard.

Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jackson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Benko is proving hard to escape from. Benko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jackson is defending well. Benko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jackson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Benko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leclerc drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Leclerc throws a lazy head kick enabling Zivko to counter with a crisp jab. Leclerc on the wrong end of a nice jab. Zivko catches Leclerc with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zivko has closed the distance and engaged Leclerc in a clinch.
Zivko lands a good knee to the midsection. Leclerc won't want to take too many of those. A head punch blocked on the inside by Zivko. Leclerc takes an elbow to the forehead. Zivko lands a nice elbow. Zivko connects with a knee to the head.
Leclerc looks winded! Zivko landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Zivko has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Leclerc - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Zivko, and another! Leclerc is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Mario Zivko! Mario Zivko spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jasper with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Nelson takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Sargent Nelson has been cut. Nelson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jasper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nelson somewhat. Jasper fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jasper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jasper shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nelson eats them both and turns towards Jasper to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nelson is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jasper is looking to slow Nelson down with leg kicks. Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jan Jasper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jasper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nelson seems to have got his legs back now. Jasper scores with a hook to the body. Nelson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nelson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nelson wants to control but Jasper is keeping him busy. Nelson slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Jasper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nelson is trying to get an arm triangle but Jasper is defending well. Jasper is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nelson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Nelson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nelson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Nelson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jasper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nelson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jasper is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nelson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson has knee on belly and moves into mount. Nelson controlling from the full mount. Jasper wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nelson moves to take his opponent's back. Nelson working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Jasper is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Nelson has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Jasper taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sargent Nelson! After winning the bout, Sargent Nelson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrovic looks to clinch and Down counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Petrovic's guard now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Down landing some decent shots from guard. Down showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Down scoring with some ground and pound. Down trying to control the position from guard on top but Petrovic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Down won't allow Petrovic to sweep him here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Down looking to pass the guard. Down scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Down is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petrovic can do anything to dispel that myth. Petrovic throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Down trying to control but Petrovic is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Down's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Petrovic keeping full guard, as Down tries to pass. Petrovic has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Down is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Petrovic. Petrovic takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

We're now in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Down regains full guard. Nicely done. Petrovic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Down bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Petrovic's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Down advances to half guard. Down is nestled in close to Petrovic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Petrovic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Down passes to side control. Down trying to control the position but Petrovic is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Down lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Down sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Petrovic is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Down in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Down wants to stand but Petrovic is controlling his arm. Down advances to mount. Down raining down shots from the mount! Down trying to control but Petrovic is having none of it. Down is landing with some decent strikes but Petrovic is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petrovic tries to hold on but Down postures up. Down lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Petrovic is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Down unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Petrovic wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Down celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Akulov is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jabbar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jabbar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Akulov, pushing him back against the cage. Akulov tries for a takedown. No joy.

Tsuki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haysus pinned against the cage. Haysus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Haysus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tsuki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tsuki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Haysus sprawls well. Haysus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tsuki gets slowly back to his feet. Kitsune Tsuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tsuki closes the distance and pushes Haysus back into the cage. Haysus is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tsuki is defending well. Haysus fails to pull guard.
Kitsune Tsuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emmanual Haysus. Haysus is trying to force a seperation but Tsuki has the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tsuki looking for a takedown. Tsuki tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Haysus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tsuki pulls him back up using the underhooks. Haysus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Haysus throwing strikes from guard but Tsuki blocks nicely. Tsuki working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Haysus. Haysus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tsuki has his foot on Haysus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Haysus works his way back into a safe position though. Haysus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Haysus throwing strikes but missing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Haysus throwing strikes but missing. Tsuki has momentary wrist control but Haysus slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsuki keeping full guard, as Haysus tries to pass. Haysus throws a big right hand that misses. Haysus with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Haysus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Haysus lands a couple of elbows. Haysus wants to control from the top but Tsuki keeps moving. Tsuki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Haysus lands a couple of decent looking shots. Haysus content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Haysus working some strikes from top position. Haysus makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tsuki has his feet on Haysus's thighs here. He's pushed Haysus off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Haysus screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Gatti throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Joash Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker pushes Gatti away with a front kick. A lazy body kick from Walker and Gatti counters with a right hand to the body. Walker throws a shot from downtown. Gatti moves away and avoids it. Walker misses with a low kick. Gatti throws a right and a left that both miss. Walker throws a leg kick but Gatti sees it coming and checks it nicely. Walker misses with a wild body shot. Walker throws an off balance right hand
and Gatti counters with a nice uppercut. A telegraphed right hand from Walker misses the target. Walker is looking to land body kicks. A low kick from Walker misses and Gatti counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Gatti throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gatti with a nice cross. Walker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gatti checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Gatti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Walker lands with a nice body punch.

Walker misses with an uppercut. Gatti saw that one coming. A jab lands there for Gatti. Walker misses the shot to the body. Walker misses with a kick to the body and Gatti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A big right from Walker misses. Gatti scores with the left hand. Walker knows he should have avoided that one. Walker misses the jab. Walker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Walker is rocked! Gatti throws a right and a left that both miss. Walker is still on wobbly legs! Can Gatti finish him? Gatti throws a series of punches but Walker avoids them all with ease. Gatti misses with a two punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walker slips under a jab. Gatti rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A head kick by Gatti - that's a beauty! Walker is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Gatti can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
